This time I want to show you the maintenance of a silicone gun that a friend gave me, she told me that her daughter had introduced a pencil to push the bar and then they could not remove it, so she decided to buy another one.

En esta ocasión les quiero enseñar el mantenimiento de una pistola de silicona que me regaló una amiga, me contó que su hija había metido un lápiz para empujar la barra y luego no podían quitarlo, así que decidió comprar otra.
Silicone gun repair and maintenance.

Process:
Step 1
The first thing I am going to do is to remove the screws to open the gun housing.

Proceso:
Paso 1
Lo primero que voy a hacer es quitar los tornillos para abrir el cascasa de la pistola.

Step 3.
I'm going to separate the two parts that form the housing, I'm going to do it very carefully, for this I will use a knife because many times the silicone when it spills and these caps are joined and we force them can be split, so it is better to separate them slowly.
Paso 3.
Voy a separar las dos partes que forman la carcasa, lo voy a hacer con mucho cuidado, para ello voy a utilizar una navaja ya que muchas veces la silicona cuando se derrama y se unen estas tapas y las forzamos se pueden partir, por eso es mejor separarlas despacio.
Now we can see the internal body of the silicone gun, there is the thermal resistance and the thermistor which is the part that is responsible for heating the silicone bar, in this same piece is the nozzle. We can also see the mechanism that activates the silicone bar, which is formed by the trigger and the ring of the conduit that holds and activates the bar.
Ahora podemos ver el cuerpo interno de la pistola de silicona, allí se encuentra la resistencia térmica y el termistor que es la pieza que se encarga de calentar la barra de silicona, en esta misma pieza se encuentra la boquilla. También podemos ver el mecanismo que activa la barra de silicona, que está formado por el gatillo y el anillo del conducto que sujeta y activa la barra.
Step 4
Next, I remove the internal parts of the gun (drive mechanism and heating element).

Step 5
In this step I am going to try to remove the pencil that is stuck in the conduit of the thermal resistance, the work consists of heating this piece with the use of a hair dryer, to remove the pencil:

It was a little difficult to remove the pencil, because it had reached the end of the nozzle, the good thing was that I managed to remove it.
Step 6
The difficult part is already solved, because I have managed to remove the pencil, now I am going to remove the remains of silicone from the nozzle and the duct of the resistor, it is not necessary to clean the duct to the bottom, just clean a centimeter of the entrance, this is so that the silicone bar enters easily.
Paso 6
Lo difícil ya está solucionado, porque he conseguido quitar el lápiz, ahora voy a quitar los restos de silicona de la boquilla y del conducto de la resistencia, no es necesario limpiar el conducto hasta el fondo, basta con limpiar un centímetro de la entrada, esto es para que la barra de silicona entre con facilidad.
Step 7
Now I am going to place the heating element and the mechanism that drives the rod back on one of the housing covers.

To finish, I am going to join the two covers of the casing and place the metal hook that serves as support for the gun.
