How to change a car battery
Today I am going to show you how to replace the old battery in your car, whether the battery is already replaced or if you are stranded and you borrow a battery to start your car.
Como cambiar la batería de un automóvil
En el día de hoy les voy a enseñar con fui muy fácil y sencilla de cómo remplazar la batería vieja de tu automóvil,ya sea que ya esté de cambio la batería o que te hallas quedado varado y te presten una batería para poder encender tu automóvil
1 The new battery to replace
Wrench or screwdriver needed to replace your car battery.
1 La batería nueva a remplazar
Llave o destornillador necesarios para remplazar la batería de tu automóvil
2 Park the vehicle:
Make sure the car is in a safe place and on a flat or level surface in one and with the engine off.
2 Estaciona el vehículo:
Asegúrate de que el automóvil esté en un lugar seguro y en una superficie plana o llana en una y con el motor apagado
3 Locate the battery:
Open the hood and locate the battery. It is usually in the engine compartment on either the left or right side.
3 Ubica la batería:
Abre el capó y localiza la batería. Normalmente está en el compartimento del motor ya sea en lado izquierdo o el derecho
4 Disconnect the old battery:
First, remove the negative cable, which you can easily detect as it is black or with the negative or minus (-) symbol, using the appropriate wrench or screwdriver for the lathe.
Then remove the positive cable which is usually red or you can detect it with the plus (+) symbol.
4 Desconecta la batería vieja:
Primero, quita el cable negativo lo puedes detectar fácilmente ya que es d color negro o con el símbolo negativo o de menos (-),utilizando la llave o destornillador adecuado para el torno
Luego quita el cable positivo el cual es generalmente de color rojo o lo puede detectar con el símbolo de más (+)
5 Remove the battery:
If the battery has a holder loosen the screws so that the holder can be removed to replace the battery.
Lift the battery carefully as it may be heavy.
5 Retira la batería:
Si la batería tiene un soporte afloja los tornillos para poder retirar el soporte para poder remplazar la batería
Levanta la batería con cuidado ya que puede ser un pesada
6 Install the new battery:
Place the new battery in the place where the old one was.
Make sure that the positive and negative terminals are in the same position as before and if not you can be guided by the symbols that are engraved on the battery.
6 Instala la nueva batería:
Coloca la nueva batería en el lugar donde estaba la anterior
Asegúrate de que los terminales positivo y negativo estén en la misma posición que antes y si no te puedes guiar con los símbolos que están grabados en la batería
7 Connect the new battery:
First, connect the positive cable ,red and secure it well.
Then, connect the negative cable ,black
7 Conecta la nueva batería:
Primero, conecta el cable positivo ,rojo y asegúralo bien.
Luego, conecta el cable negativo ,negro
8 Check the installation:
Make sure that both cables are firmly connected and that there are no loose objects in the engine compartment and if it had the bracket replace it and tighten it well.
8 Revisa la instalación:
Asegúrate de que ambos cables estén firmemente conectados y que no haya objetos sueltos en el compartimiento del motor y si tenia el soporte vuélvelo a colocar y apretarlo bien
9 Test drive the vehicle:
Close the hood and start the car to make sure everything is working properly with no abnormalities
9 Prueba el vehículo:
Cierra el capó y arranca el automóvil para asegurarte de que todo funcione correctamente sin anormalidades
10 Discard the old battery:
Take the old battery to a recycling center or workshop where they have a recycling program.
10 Desecha la batería vieja:
Lleva la batería vieja a un centro de reciclaje o taller donde tengan un programa de reciclaje.
And go!!!! You will have a new battery installed in your car so you can keep on driving anywhere if you have any worries.
Y listo!!!! Tendrás una nueva batería instalada en tu automóvil para que puede seguir rodando a cualquier lugar si preocupaciones
