Happy afternoon, friends of Hive. I greet you with much affection wishing you well. Today I want to share with you, the procedure that was carried out to repair a small inconvenience that my brother's motorcycle presented. I hope you like it.
La moto de mi hermano comenzó a emitir un extraño ruido, que le reducía fuerzas. Mi hermano no sabía precisamente qué era lo que estaba ocasionando este problema; así que con mucho detenimiento la inspeccionó. Después de investigar bien, detectó cuál era el problema. El ruido provenía de la conexión del tubo de escape con la cámara del motor, esto era porque los gases residuales que producía la explosión del combustible dentro del motor, en vez de transitar por el tubo del escape en su totalidad, parte de estos se estaban escapando por el sello, el cual se encuentra entre la cámara y el tubo de escape.Por lo tanto, retiró el tubo de escape de la moto, utilizando las siguientes herramientas:
- Un rache con extensión pequeña.
- Un juego de dados.
- Una llave ajustable pequeña.
- Dos llaves mecánicas de 12mm.
- Silicona alta presión.
- Una mandarria.
- Una barra de 1/2 cuadrada de 30cm.
My brother's motorcycle began to emit a strange noise, which reduced its power. My brother didn't know exactly what was causing this problem, so he carefully inspected it. After a thorough investigation, he detected what the problem was. The noise was coming from the connection of the exhaust pipe with the engine chamber, this was because the residual gases produced by the explosion of the fuel inside the engine, instead of passing through the exhaust pipe in its entirety, part of these were escaping through the seal, which is located between the chamber and the exhaust pipe.Therefore, he removed the exhaust pipe of the motorcycle, using the following tools:
- A rache with small extension.
- A set of dice.
- A small adjustable wrench.
- Two 12mm wrenches.
- High pressure silicone.
- One mandarin.
- A bar of 1/2 square of 30cm
Al quitar del tubo de escape, mi hermano se percató de que la pieza que une al tubo de escape con la cámara estaba pandeada, es decir, ovalada o doblada.
Upon removal of the exhaust pipe, my brother noticed that the piece that connects the exhaust pipe to the chamber was buckled, i.e., oval or bent.
Esta pieza que agarra al tubo de escape, debe estar completamente plana; pero por el calor de los gases calientes más la presión, cedió.
This piece, which grips the exhaust pipe, should be completely flat; but due to the heat of the hot gases plus the pressure, it gave way.
Para enderezar la pieza que había cedido al calor y a la presión, la colocó en una base de hierro, y con barra cuadrada más la mandarria se llevó a cabo el ajuste de la misma. Para este procedimiento necesito la ayuda de mi papá, quien sostuvo la barra y golpeó con la mandarria. Está operación la llevaron a cabo varias veces, hasta conseguir el resultado deseado.
To straighten the piece that had yielded to heat and pressure, he placed it on an iron base, and with a square bar plus the mandarin, he adjusted it. For this procedure I needed the help of my dad, who held the bar and hit it with the mandarria. This operation was carried out several times, until the desired result was achieved.
Después de enderezarla, ya mi hermano tenía el problema resuelto.
After straightening it, my brother had the problem solved.
Luego, colocó el tubo de escape en su sitio, ajustándolo con las tuercas y probó la moto.
He then put the exhaust pipe in place, tightened it with the nuts and tested the bike.
Afortunadamente ya se le había quitado el ruido. La moto recobró la fuerza y se solventó el problema.
Fortunately, the noise was gone. The bike regained power and the problem was solved.
