I am Sampson Darlington, a level one soccer coach, a data and soccer analyst, holding a BS.c in Economics. I am so passionate about the development of young soccer athletes into top professional football players at top level and building the best attitude and mentality from my players. I love making friends, meeting and interacting with people as I consider that a huge indispensable part of learning 🤗

HOBBIES:
The most beautiful thing about my leisure is watching a beautiful football from top flight teams on television or at the stadium. It gives me alot of motivation as a soccer coach and I am so much exited seeing youngsters with great potentials on the pitch.
I love traveling to different places to see the beauty and endowment of nature and gaining new experiences from different people, ethnicity and cultures around the world. Last but not the least, I love swimming😁.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
I was born into a family big family of seven and was the fourth child of my parents. After my primary education, I wanted to become a professional football player probably another Lionel Messi😁. I was very devoted to playing soccer. I played with a local grassroot club in the neighborhood and I had a great passion for the game but was discouraged by frineds and family from achieving that dream🤦 may biggest set back was the loads of injuries i had😏. After my secondary Education, my passion for soccer coaching grew and intensified.
In 2014 I got into soccer coaching as a volunteer in a local grassroot club I played with, during my playing days. In 2017 gained admission into University of Uyo, Nigeria to study Economics and acquired a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2021. I went on to acquire a level one certificate in soccer coaching in 2022 with H & B Global Sports, an affiliate institution of United Soccer Coaches in Nigeria.
SOCCER COACHING CAREER
After volunteering for the role of assistant training coach at Atlantic FC, a grassroot football club in River State, Nigeria, I was appointed as the assistant coach after a year serving as assistant training coach at the club.
After 6months at my new role, I was promoted to the head coach at the club and guilded the club to four successful tournaments, funnishing as twice as semi finalists and twice as first runner ups respectively. With much hardwork on the pitch and good acumen for decision making, technique and selection, I guided youngsters to higher developmental level which helped them move steps further in their soccer career playing for bigger clubs. I'm most thankfully to the great coaching staff i worked with that imparted greatly on my experience.
In 2018, I was appointed as the head coach of the football team of the Department of Economics in University of Uyo, Nigeria. My role as the head coach was to bring out the best from students who love playing football and set thier minds towards soccer and academic success. That led me to build a good player- coach relationship that helped students who played soccer at the department to build focus and increase levels of intelligence for thier soccer and academic experience. With complex training drills, I was able to build a great combination of student- players that played in different soccer competitions at university level.
In 2019, 2020 and 2021 football season at the university, my team finished as semi finalists at faculty levels.
Last year i created a logbook for young soccer athletes to keep track of their soccer development mentally and physically. "Peak soccer logbook" has helped a few players to develop at a fast pace as they remained consistent with thier regular practices and realistic goals.
SKILLS
My life so far has been full of beautiful experiences as I set out to acquire knowledge that would be helpful to me and humanity as a whole. I was trained to become an effecctive communicator as I deem that very relevant to my role as a soccer coach. I am skilled at creative writing, data analytics, content writing and teaching. These skills I acquired have shaped me into having a positive mindset about my life, relationships and career.
