Yep we get it, it’s kind of hard to win a league title with all the pressure that’s on you from the media and fans. But finishing top 4 this season for arsenal is not the best like some of the fans want us to believe. For the past three seasons they have been close to top 4 and each season they either get knocked out on the last day or something happens along the line. This season they want us to believe all they wanted was champions league football.
I can understand they are trying to console themselves after bottling the league title even after being on top for that long. Yes, we get it City are that good but then you don’t need to beat city to win the league. In fact you can loose your two legs against them in the league and still go on to win the league.
Why do you even put up a fight in the first place when you know or think you are not good enough? Mehn, that’s one small club mentality( not that am saying Arsenal is a small club). Look at the seria A, after 10 years of domination Inter finally won it, look at the bundesliga this season Dortmund are putting up quite a good fight and they could win it eventually if they stay focused.
All am trying to say is that, in the premier league I don’t think any of the top 6 clubs go into the season with the mindset of not winning the league after staying at the top for soo long. Arsenal shouldn’t have drawn to Liverpool after going 2-0 up, it was the same story with West Ham and them they shouldn’t have been fighting for a comeback against Southampton. All in all I think the pressure got to them. The pressure of city winning their matches and keeping up with the pressure.
I heard one of their fans saying a top 4 finish will be good since they all know that challenging against City for the premier league would have been very tough. Then why don’t all teams just stop trying to win the champions league cause Madrid will be there always.
For quite a long time I’ve been rooting for them to win it since the premier league is becoming a one man show. We don’t want it to look like the bundesliga or seria A some years back or even Ligue 1. Come on Mehn, put up a fight.
There are about 6 games left let’s see what Arsenal can do with this. I really hope they can pull this off even though it’s highly impossible now since City have two games in hand.
