The English Premier League never gets boring, especially with the surprises it pulls towards the end of the season.

The battle for the title is still very much alive between two teams and the top four drama wouldn't want to make you miss anything going on in the league at the moment. Last night was about two matches, Manchester City hosted Brighton to continue in the pursuit of the title, and the London derby restored hopes for one of the two biggest teams in London after their encounter ended with an unexpected result.

With Tottenham losing to Brentford last weekend, I knew there would be a huge problem for them because the teams struggling for the top four spots would definitely try to catch up with them. The match was a perfect one for Spurs to strengthen their feet in the four places below Chelsea but they lost in style, it was shocking to see a team with so much attacking prowess not get a shot on goal in 90 minutes against a side like Brentford.

Manchester United has limited opportunity to take advantage of Tottenham's loss since they played against Liverpool, the team is messed up at the moment and many weren't expecting much from them, especially against Liverpool. They lost four goals to nothing, they conceded twice in both halves but they might still have a better chance of still participating in the Uefa competition next season if they try to win more of their remaining games this season.

The victory for Liverpool sent them to the top of the Premier League table, I believe the top spot has a special on teams and that's why Manchester City wouldn't allow anything to make them slip from them from the top spot on the table. City dropped to second but didn't hesitate to return to the first position, the match that decided that was a tricky one but Guardiola must have prepared pretty well for a side that defeated Tottenham over the weekend.

Manchester City scored thrice to silence Brighton, it was much needed victory for the league champions to keep their head in the title race. Both Liverpool and Manchester City are still separated by a point difference between them, every match for them is a must win from now on, and judging from the teams performance, Manchester City seems to have the edge since they won't be facing any of the big boys in the league while Liverpool still has Tottenham to face. The other teams can't be underestimated as well but the title challengers can definitely get past them.

Arsenal's hopes of playing in the Uefa competition next season came back to life last night against Chelsea, I would have tipped Chelsea to win the London derby but it turned out differently. I am not underrating them but what would you expect from a team that lost to Crystal Palace, Brighton, and Southampton in a role?

Those matches were the ones we expected Arsenal to win comfortably and it could have given them a chance at even competing with Chelsea for the third spot but the team stumbled and seems to have found their balance or was it because the much was a derby that was why the thrashed Chelsea?

Scoring four goals against Chelsea is something for their manager to be concerned about, the team must have definitely missed Rudiger in action because he has been a vital key in Chelsea's defense so far this season. Nketiah scored twice, Smith Rowe and Saka also registered their name on the scored sheet for Arsenal.

As it stands, the North London club has equaled Tottenham's points but still separated by goals on the Premier League table.

The fourth spot still looks very much undecided since Manchester United is just three points away from catching up with Tottenham and Arsenal. We might be seeing some change of power between the three clubs as Arsenal face Manchester United over the weekend and Tottenham battle Brentford, these are exciting fixtures for football lovers and a huge one for the players to keep their top four dreams alive.

Having Nketiah in attack did a lot of good for Arsenal as he put so much pressure on Chelsea's defense all through the match and I hope Arteta makes the right choice as the season approaches they with make the right choice of players for every match.
