The Spanish iker Casillas proposes a solution for the calendar

The calendar remains the great headache of soccer. The coronavirus crisis has dynamited the season and sports leaders are looking for different solutions to adapt the competition to the date when the health authorities allow to re-play the different tournaments that are suspended by Covid 19.

Iker Casillas, candidate for the presidency of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), has proposed to resume the season postponed by the coronavirus pandemic for three or four months if there is a green light for Health. The goalkeeper has suggested finishing the course in December, month for which the finals of the Copa del Rey, the Champions League and the Europa League would be postponed.

In this way, football would adapt to the calendar year and therefore the calendar of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, to be held in November of that year, would be adapted.
