NFL QB Rankings for 2023: #6 Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams QB

Despite Matthew Stafford's injury plagued off season in 2022, I still consider him a top QB in the game. One season is not enough for me to simply write him off. Not quite yet. Not when there's a whole decade plus worth of evidence that Stafford is a quality QB.

And, oh yeah, the man won a Super Bowl in the 2021/22 season and he threw for 40 touchdowns that season. His whole post-season run was impressive honestly. Stafford can be a sniper out there.

If Stafford manages to have a solid healthy season in 2023, he could easily hit and pass 55,000 career passing yards and 350 career passing touchdowns. The dude's been slinging it for a minute now, and he's somehow only 35. Crazy how time just flies. Stafford was drafted in 2009 at 21 years old.

Stafford only played in 9 games last season due to him seemingly recovering from elbow surgery and dealing with concussions. The Rams also struggled due to players like Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller departing the team.

I imagine Stafford comes back refreshed and plays well. Again, especially with a weird NFC, perhaps the Rams can manage to return to their old dominant selves. 2022 was the first season Rams' HC Sean McVay had major struggles, it's hard to imagine he has a second consecutive bad season.
