Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien. Hoy vengo con un post que estoy segura será de mucha ayuda, sobre todo para esos que se están iniciando en la plataforma y aún se sienten un poco perdidos en qué hacer, pero también puede ser interesante para los que llevan más tiempo, pues cada día se puede aprender algo nuevo.
Pues verán, voy a contarles sobre mi experiencia desde que comencé en Hive y cuáles han sido esas buenas prácticas y pasos que he seguido que me han permitido adentrarme en este mundo y me han sido de mucha ayuda para abrirme paso por la plataforma.
¿Por qué hablar de esto?
Hace dos semanas pude asistir a un taller sobre Hive que se efectuó en conjunto con la comunidad de Hive Cuba, representada por @nanixxx y los hivers pinareños, representados por @eduardo900613. En este taller se presentó Hive para personas interesadas y posibles nuevos usuarios y mientras oía toda la explicación que se daba, además de a @yanerkisdiaz hablar de su experiencia, fui recordando mis inicios en la plataforma y eso me hizo pensar que hablar de mi propia experiencia pudiera ser de mucho beneficio para los nuevos usuarios.
Es por esto que decidí hacer este post con el fin de aportar mi granito de arena que espero sea de utilidad.
10 buenas prácticas en Hive:
✅ 1- Leer "Todo"
¿A qué me refiero con "todo"? Bueno pues una vez tengas tu cuenta de Hive, antes de hacer tu presentación mi recomendación es que leas bastante. Puedes leer guías y tutoriales sobre la plataforma y su funcionamiento, para conocer qué es Hive, sus características, cómo funciona y como empezar a hacer vida aquí. Esto fue lo que yo hice y para ello me apoyé en la comunidad de Aliento, ya que tienen fijados varios posts de ayuda sobre los primeros pasos en Hive y para mejorar la calidad de los posts con varios tutoriales sobre markdown, el uso de las fuentes, entre otros.

Aún no estás listo para hacer tu primer post, ten paciencia, lee en esa misma comunidad un post que te explica detalladamente qué debes escribir en ese post de presentación, los requisitos que hay que tener en cuenta, qué etiquetas debes usar, en fin, todo lo que necesitas saber. Pero eso no es todo, antes de finalmente publicar tu presentación, te recomiendo leer los posts de presentaciones de otras personas, para que tengas una idea mejor de lo que debes hacer. Para esto puedes pedirle a la persona o personas que te estén ayudando en tu inicio en Hive que te compartan sus presentaciones y la de otras personas que conozcan que les fue bien en la de ellas. Asimismo, puedes poner el hashtag "introduceyourself" en la barra de búsqueda y leer todas las presentaciones que quieras.
Recuerda que esto es solo para buscar inspiración, ya que debes ser original a la hora de presentarte.
✅ 2- Unirme a comunidades de mi interés
Una vez publicado el post de presentación, el cual es recomendable que lo hagas en la comunidad de Aliento o Hive Cuba, llegó la hora de buscar más comunidadades. En uno de esos posts de Aliento que mencioné antes, hay un enlace que te lleva a todas las comunidades de Hive, y ahí me puse a buscar las que me interesaban, cómo por ejemplo las que tenían que ver con series y películas, las mascotas, viajes y otras que fui encontrando poco a poco.
Para saber de qué trata la comunidad tocas dónde dice "detalles" en el caso de usar Ecency o "about/acerca" en el caso de usar Peakd. Aquí puedes ver de qué va la comunidad y de qué temáticas puedes hablar. Además las comunidades tienen casi siempre un post fijado dónde hacen la introducción de la comunidad, y en adición, a veces tienen otro que es la guía para publicar en esa comunidad, aunque no todas las comunidades tienen estas comodidades.

🚨 En cuanto a las reglas de cada comunidad, siempre debes leerlas para no cometer ninguna infracción.
✅ 3- Hacer comunidad o "engage"
Esto es muy importante, Hive es una gran plataforma, que entre otras cosas, es social, por lo que debemos interactuar con las personas. ¿Cómo hacemos esto? Lo primero es respondiendo todos los comentarios que generen tus posts, piensa que si alguien se tomó el tiempo para leer lo que escribiste y dejarte un comentario al respecto, lo más amable es responderle de vuelta. Otra forma de hacer engage es leer los posts de otras personas, de las comunidades a las que estés unido y dejarles tu comentario y tu voto también.
✅ 4- Participar en concursos e iniciativas
En Hive no hay tiempo para aburrirse, desde que empecé he estado participando en muchos concursos e iniciativas que proponen muchas comunidades, de esta forma, además, he podido conocer comunidades nuevas. Me encantan los concursos semanales, por ejemplo, de Cine TV, Ladies of Hive y Top Family, siempre que puedo y que el tema me atraiga dejo mi participación. Otras comunidades como Hive-Con y Emotions and Feelings tiene un tema mensual y otras ponen iniciativas en fechas destacadas como el 14 de febrero y el Día de las Madres, o simplemente iniciativas mensuales.

Encuentro estas iniciativas y concursos muy interesantes y además, es una ayuda extra, ya que a veces nos quedamos sin ideas para hacer un post y tenemos estas opciones.
✅ 5- Hacer uso del markdown
Después de haber publicado varios posts, a medida que leía otros de otras personas, me di cuenta que estaban muy bien adornados, tenían banners y separadores de texto muy bonitos, por lo que decidí que era hora de mejorar mis posts y busqué ayuda. Para esto leí varios tutoriales de markdown y @eduardo900613 me iba ayudando con algunos códigos para hacer más amenos mis posts, también mi esposo @theoneblog me creó algunos banners y separadores de texto que son los que uso en mis posts.

✅ 6- Participar en cursos para aprender sobre Hive
En noviembre del año pasado participé en el curso "Hive desde Cero", que imparte @soy-laloreto por Telegram y en ese curso aprendí mucho sobre Hive, y tuve la oportunidad de aclarar muchas dudas que tenía. Además se compartieron muchos enlaces importantes que guardé en mis notas y que sigo usando con frecuencia, como algunas páginas para descargar fotos de películas gratis, por poner un ejemplo. De hecho, la segunda entrega del curso comenzó este 3 de julio, no se lo pierdan!
✅ 7- Ser tú mismo
No hay que ser un escritor para pertenecer a Hive, solo debes contar tus vivencias e historias con tus propias palabras, siendo original y fiel a ti mismo. Encontrar tu propia voz tal vez te tome un tiempo, pero a medida que avances te será más fácil. Lo importante es enfocarnos en qué queremos transmitir y hacerlo a nuestra propia manera.
✅ 8- Ser constante
Es verdad que no hay tiempo de aburrirse en Hive, pero también es verdad que a veces el tiempo no nos deja llegar al celular, por cuestiones de trabajo principalmente. Sin embargo, siempre tenemos que sacar nuestro tiempo para dedicarle a Hive, ya sea publicando o simplemente votando y dejando nuestro comentario en otros posts. Por lo menos debemos tratar de hacer un post a la semana para mantenernos activos en la plataforma y generar interacción. Ser constante es clave en Hive, pues muestra nuestro nivel de compromiso con la plataforma.
✅ 9- Ver cada oportunidad como contenido
Antes de conocer a Hive pasaban cosas en mi vida y no existen las fotos para recordar esos momentos. Ahora todo lo que hago me parece que puede ser interesante para un post, por eso trato de tomar fotos y me aseguro que sean de calidad. Un encuentro con un amigo, un viaje familiar o simplemente un paseo por la ciudad se han convertido en parte del contenido que comparto en Hive, cosas que antes veía muy normales como para estar tomando fotos de cada detalle, ahora siempre trato de capturar el momento.

✅ 10- Disfrutar
Por último, pero no menos importante, es disfrutar, disfrutar de todo el proceso desde que te creas la cuenta, te vas familiarizando con todo lo relacionado con Hive y empiezas a crear contenido. La verdad que yo me lo he disfrutado bastante y no me desanimo cuando no obtengo ganancias en un post, pues lo más importante es que escribiste algo que salió de tu mente y que vas a tener ahí guardado por siempre, es parecido a tener un diario, un lugar donde dejas plasmadas memorias de tu vida, tus sentimientos y puntos de vista, es tu legado en cierta forma 😊.

Today I come with a post that I'm sure will be very helpful, especially for those who are starting on the platform and still feel a little lost on what to do, but it can also be interesting for those who have been on the platform for a longer time, because every day you can learn something new.
So you see, I'm going to tell you about my experience since I started on Hive and what have been those good practices and steps that I have followed that have allowed me to enter this world and have been very helpful to make my way through the platform.
Why talk about this?
Two weeks ago I was able to attend a workshop on Hive that was held jointly with the Hive Cuba community, represented by @nanixxx and the hivers from Pinar del Río, represented by @eduardo900613. In this workshop Hive was presented to interested people and potential new users and while I was listening to all the explanation that was given, in addition to @yanerkisdiaz talking about her experience, I was remembering my beginnings in the platform and that made me think that talking about my own experience could be of great benefit to new users.
That is why I decided to make this post in order to contribute a little, so I hope it will be useful.
10 good practices in Hive:
✅1- Read "Everything"
What do I mean by "everything"? Well, once you have your Hive account, before you make your presentation, my recommendation is that you read a lot. You can read guides and tutorials about the platform and how it works, to know what Hive is, its features, how it works and how to start making life here. This is what I did and for this I relied on the Aliento community, as they have several posts about the first steps in Hive and to improve the quality of the posts with several tutorials on markdown, the use of fonts, among others.

You are not ready to make your first post yet, be patient, read in that same community a post that explains in detail what you should write in that presentation post, the requirements to take into account, what tags you should use, in short, everything you need to know. But that's not all, before finally publishing your presentation, I recommend you to read other people's presentation posts, so you have a better idea of what you should do. For this you can ask the person or people who are helping you in your startup on Hive to share with you their presentations and those of other people they know who did well in theirs. Also, you can put the hashtag "introduceyourself" in the search bar and read as many presentations as you want.
Remember that this is only for inspiration, as you must be original when presenting yourself.
✅ 2- Joining communities of my interest
Once the presentation post was published, which is recommended to be done in the Aliento or Hive Cuba community, it was time to look for more communities. In one of those Aliento posts I mentioned before, there is a link that takes you to all the Hive communities, and there I started looking for the ones that interested me, such as those related to series and movies, pets, travel and others that I found little by little.
To find out what the community is about, click on "details" in the case of using Ecency or "about" in the case of using Peakd. Here you can see what the community is about and what topics you can talk about. Also, the communities usually have a post where they make the introduction of the community, and in addition, sometimes they have another one that is the guide to publish in that community, although not all the communities have these facilities.

✅ 3- Make community or "engage"
This is very important, Hive is a great platform, which among other things, is social, so we must interact with people. How do we do this? The first thing is to answer all the comments generated by your posts, think that if someone took the time to read what you wrote and leave you a comment about it, the kindest thing to do is to answer them back. Another way to engage is to read other people's posts, from the communities that you are part of, and leave them your comment and your vote as well.
✅ 4- Participate in contests and initiatives
In Hive there is no time to get bored, since I started I have been participating in many contests and initiatives proposed by many communities, this way I have also been able to find about new communities. I love the weekly contests, for example in Cine TV, Ladies of Hive and Top Family, whenever I can and the topic attracts me I leave my participation. Other communities like Hive-Con and Emotions and Feelings have a monthly theme and others put initiatives on important dates like February 14 and Mother's Day, or simply monthly initiatives.

✅ 5- Make use of markdown
After publishing several posts, as I read other people's posts, I realized that they were very well decorated, they had very nice banners and text separators, so I decided it was time to improve my posts and I looked for help. For this I read several markdown tutorials and @eduardo900613 was helping me with some codes to make my posts more enjoyable, also my husband @theoneblog created some banners and text separators for me that are the ones I use in my posts.

✅ 6- Participate in courses to learn about Hive
Last November I participated in the course "Hive desde Cero" ("Hive from scratch"), given by @soy-laloreto via Telegram and in that course I learned a lot about Hive, and I had the opportunity to clarify many doubts I had. In addition, many important links were shared that I kept in my notes and that I still use frequently, such as some pages to download free movie photos, to give an example. In fact, the course started again this July 3rd, don't miss it!
✅ 7- Be yourself
You don't have to be a writer to belong to Hive, you just have to tell your experiences and stories in your own words, being original and true to yourself. Finding your own voice may take some time, but as you progress it will become easier. The important thing is to focus on what you want to convey and do it in your own way.
✅ 8- Be constant
It is true that there is no time to get bored in Hive, but it is also true that sometimes time does not allow us to get to our cell phones, mainly because of work. However, we always have to take our time to dedicate to Hive, either by posting or simply voting and leaving our comment on other posts. We should at least try to make one post a week to stay active on the platform and generate interaction. Being consistent is key in Hive, as it shows our level of commitment to the platform.
✅ 9- See every opportunity as content
Before I knew Hive, things happened in my life and there are no photos to remember those moments. Now everything I do seems to me that can be interesting for a post, so I try to take pictures and make sure they are of quality. A meeting with a friend, a family trip or just a walk around the city have become part of the content I share on Hive, things that I used to see too normal to be taking pictures of every detail, now I always try to capture the moment.

✅ 10- Enjoy
Last but not least, is to enjoy, enjoy the whole process from the moment you create the account, get familiar with everything related to Hive and start creating content. The truth is that I have enjoyed it a lot and I don't get discouraged when I don't get profits in a post, because the most important thing is that you wrote something that came out of your mind and that you will keep there forever, it is similar to having a diary, a place where you leave memories of your life, your feelings and points of view, it is your legacy in a way 😊.
