Hola amigos de #Hive
Hoy quiero compartirles una grata visita a uno de los teatros locales de mi ciudad. Lo he visitado a lo largo de mi vida pero si hacía ya muchísimo tiempo que no iba a disfrutar de una función y bien, no todo en la vida es trabajo, también hay que despejar para así poder pensar mejor las cosas.
Como ya les había comentado no había ido al teatro en muchos años y mi esposo y yo decidimos tomarnos nuestro espacio para presenciar una bellísima presentación de danza contemporánea.
La obra se tituló "Raíces y tradiciones" (ya dice más menos de que trata). Nosotros los cubanos somos una mezcla de razas con culturas y tradiciones en muchas formas diferentes, pero conservamos algunas cosas de cada una.
Esta función estuvo dirigida a nuestras raíces afrocubanas, a la cual pertenece gran parte de nuestra religión. El espectáculo comenzaba a las 8:30 de la noche y teníamos que estar media hora antes para la entrada al teatro, así que yo me empecé a arreglar a las 5:00 de la tarde (me tomó dos horas arreglarme porque se fue la corriente😅 no porque sea mujer). Estuvimos allí aproximadamente desde las 7:30 y en lo que esperábamos nos tomamos algunas fotos para que quedara el recuerdo.
Llegó la hora de entrar y verdaderamente sentí que tenía que haber ido antes a cualquier otra función o solo a pasar por la galería que me recibió en el lobby.
Luego de ya estar en nuestros asientos, no demoró en empezar esta actuación. La apertura del espectáculo la hicieron con una danza que trataba sobre la naturaleza humana y el árbol de la vida, de cómo se vinculan entre sí y el significado que tiene para nuestra cultura, en especial en el ámbito religioso.
Seguido de la danza nos dedicaron la canción ¨Duerme negrita¨ que muchas madres le cantaban a sus hijos de pequeños. Hubo más danza, canciones, actuaciones e interacciones con el público y la verdad el tiempo se me hizo corto (en serio disfruté todo el espectáculo), y no solo yo, también mi esposo quedó encantado con toda la función (y eso que a él no le gusta nada de las religiones😅). Fueron muchos los aplausos dedicados a los artistas y luego regresamos al lobby a observar con detenimiento nuevamente las obras allí expuestas, que en dicha ocasión eran fotografías de los ya celebrados festivales de danza locales.
Terminamos la visita y nos fuimos a casa satisfechos con la gran noche que tuvimos. Es muy bueno distraerse un poco a veces y nunca se sabe que gustos se puedan adquirir en la marcha. Espero que les haya gustado. Nos vemos en el próximo post❤️.

Today I want to share with you a pleasant visit to one of the local theaters in my city. I have visited it throughout my life but it had been a long time since I was going to enjoy a performance and well, not everything in life is work, you also have to clear your mind so you can think about things better.
As I had already told you, I had not been to the theater in many years and my husband and I decided to take our time to witness a beautiful contemporary dance presentation.
The work was titled "Roots and Traditions" (it captures what it is about). We Cubans are a mixture of races with cultures and traditions in many different ways, but we retain some things from each one.
This function was aimed at our Afro-Cuban roots, to which much of our religion belongs. The show started at 8:30 at night and we had to be half an hour early to enter the theater, so I started getting ready at 5:00 in the afternoon (it took me two hours to get ready because the power went out 😅 not because I'm a woman). We were there from approximately 7:30 and while we were waiting we took some photos so that the memory would remain.
It was time to enter and I truly felt like I should have gone before to some other function or just to go through the gallery that welcomed me in the lobby.
After we were in our seats, it didn't take long for this performance to begin. They opened the show with a dance that was about human nature and the tree of life, how they are linked to each other and the meaning it has for our culture, especially in the religious sphere.
Followed by the dance they dedicated to us the song ¨Duerme negrita¨ that many mothers sang to their children when they were little. There was more dancing, songs, performances and interactions with the audience and the truth is that time was short for me (I really enjoyed the whole show), and not only me, but also my husband was delighted with the whole performance (and even though he He doesn't like religion at all😅). There was a lot of applause for the artists and then we returned to the lobby to carefully observe again the works exhibited there, which on that occasion were photographs of the already celebrated local dance festivals.
We finished the visit and went home satisfied with the great night we had. It's great to have a little distraction sometimes and you never know what tastes you might acquire along the way. I hope you liked it. See you in the next post❤️.
