Hola amigos de Hive, quiero contarles de un encuentro que tuve ayer con compañeros y amigos de mi trabajo anterior. Fue una sorpresa verlos a todos porque no sabía que se iban a reunir hasta que me invitaron minutos antes de la reunión.
Nos vemos a veces porque solo cambié de departamento. Todos seguimos trabajando en la misma Universidad, pero hacía tiempo que no disfrutaba de la compañía de muchos de ellos. Incluso hay nuevos integrantes del colectivo que fueron mis alumnos. Qué satisfacción verlos crecer profesionalmente.
La reunión fue en La Casona, un restaurante que fue desde antaño muy conocido por sus servicios y por la reputación que le precede. La construcción es colonial, con su techo de tejas y su puntal alto. La decoración parece un tanto medieval, candelabros, barriles y las mesas de madera con sus bancos, simulan las características de esa etapa.
Comenzaron con la declamación de un poema " La canción del bongó" de nuestro poeta nacional Nicolás Guillen,por una de las Instructoras de Arte de la Especialidad de Teatro, así como la interpretación de un instructor de arte de la especialidad de música en el saxofón con una improvisación preciosa. Ellos son algunos de los que fueron mis estudiantes y ahora trabajan con el Movimiento de Artistas Aficionados en el departamento de Extensión Universitaria.
Se realizó un cierre con los logros que habían obtenido en el año. Uno de ellos fue en el Festival de Artistas Aficionados que se celebró en Matanzas, la graduación de la Cátedra del Adulto Mayor, las publicaciones y la participación en eventos, así como el exámen para optar por la categoría docente de titular de 5 cinco profesores del departamento de Extensión Universitaria.
El almuerzo, fue entre risas, historias y fotos para inmortalizar el momento. Incluso tuve la oportunidad de hablar un poco con mi profesor de fotografía. Me mostró algunos de sus trabajos y realmente las fotografías que abordan la temática del paisaje son la que más me gustaron. Le hablé de todas las posibilidades que podía tener con su obra en @hive, pero tengo que darle tiempo a ver si la curiosidad le gane.
Fue una reunión muy entretenida, llena de buenas anécdotas y recuerdos. Es un colectivo muy trabajador y entregado al quehacer de la extensión universitaria, lástima que a veces no se cuenta con todos los recursos que lleva el arte para dar un espectáculo digno, cómo audio, micrófonos, marcos para montar las obras plásticas de los estudiantes, en fin. Pero eso no los ha detenido y siguen creando y haciendo con el mismo amor y la misma entrega de siempre. Yo los admiro mucho y siempre trato de que se conozca su trabajo a pesar de las dificultades.

Hi Hive friends, I want to tell you about a meeting I had yesterday with colleagues and friends from my previous job. It was a surprise to see you all because I didn't know you were meeting until I was invited minutes before the meeting.
We see each other sometimes because I just changed departments. We all still work at the same university, but I haven't enjoyed the company of many of them for a long time. There are even new members of the group who were my students. What a satisfaction to see them grow professionally.
The meeting was at La Casona, a restaurant that has long been well known for its services and the reputation that precedes it. The building is colonial, with its tiled roof and high props. The decoration seems somewhat medieval, barrels and wooden tables with benches, simulate the characteristics of that period.
They began with the declamation of a poem "La canción del bongó" by our national poet Nicolás Guillen, by one of the Art Instructors of the Theater Specialty, as well as the interpretation of an Art Instructor of the Music Specialty on the saxophone with a beautiful improvisation. A closing ceremony was held with the achievements of the year. Lunch was filled with laughter, stories and photos to immortalize the moment. I even had the opportunity to talk a bit with my photography teacher. He showed me some of his work and I really liked the photographs that deal with the landscape theme the most. I talked to him about all the possibilities I could have with his work in @hive, but I have to give him time to see if curiosity will win him over.
It was a very entertaining meeting, full of good anecdotes and memories. It is a very hard-working group dedicated to the work of university extension, a pity that sometimes they do not have all the resources that art requires to put on a worthy show, such as audio, microphones, frames to mount the students' artwork, in short. But that has not stopped them and they continue to create and perform with the same love and dedication as always. I admire them a lot and I always try to make their work known despite the difficulties.
