Soy Elizabeth y tengo la suerte de vivir en Bauta, un lugar donde la historia y la naturaleza se entrelazan. Desde pequeña, siempre me ha fascinado el mundo de los libros. Hoy, tengo el privilegio de ser bibliotecaria en la biblioteca municipal Antonio Maceo de Bauta, un espacio que se ha convertido en mi segundo hogar. Cada día, me rodeo de historias que esperan ser descubiertas, y disfruto compartiendo esa magia con quienes visitan la biblioteca.
Mi pasión por la lectura no solo me llevó a esta profesión, sino que también despertó en mí un amor por la fotografía. Desde que tengo memoria, siempre he llevado una cámara conmigo. Capturar momentos, emociones y paisajes es algo que me llena de alegría. La fotografía me permite ver el mundo de una manera única; cada imagen es como un libro que cuenta su propia historia. A través de mi lente, intento inmortalizar la belleza de lo cotidiano y los pequeños detalles que a menudo pasan desapercibidos.

Este año, tuve la increíble oportunidad de participar en el Foto Safari Playa Baracoa, un evento anual que celebra la memoria de un pueblo costero. Organizado por el colectivo plástico Petrona Cribeiro y la Casa de Cultura, el Foto Safari reunió a fotógrafos y artistas de diversas disciplinas, todos unidos por una misma pasión: capturar la esencia de nuestro entorno. Fue una experiencia enriquecedora que me permitió explorar nuevos horizontes y conectar con otros artistas.Durante el evento, recorrimos las playas y paisajes que rodean Baracoa, un lugar lleno de historia y belleza natural. Allí @pinero me habló de Hive y gracias a el y @manuphotos pude crear mi cuenta y empezar a dar mis primeros pasos.
He tenido la suerte de participar en varias exposiciones donde he podido mostrar mis fotografías. Cada exposición es una celebración no solo de mi trabajo, sino también del arte como medio para contar historias y conectar a las personas.

Ser bibliotecaria y fotógrafa es más que una profesión para mí; es una forma de vida. I have been fortunate enough to participate in several exhibitions where I have been able to showcase my photographs. Each exhibition is a celebration not only of my work, but also of art as a means to tell stories and connect people.
