Nací el 18 de Septiembre del 2003 en La Habana, Cuba. Mis padres eran artistas de la plástica, ellos pintaban cuadros noche y día para venderlos en la feria, por lo que crecí en un ambiente rodeada de arte, aprendí a admirar ese mundo, siempre fui una niña que prefería dibujar a jugar con los otros de mi edad.
I was born on September 18, 2003 in Havana, Cuba. My parents were plastic artists, they painted pictures night and day to sell them at the fair, so I grew up in an environment surrounded by art, I learned to admire that world, I was always a girl who preferred to draw to play with others my age.
En la secundaria experimenté muchos cambios, pasé por procesos que me permitieron descubrirme a mi misma y mi lugar en el mundo, no fue fácil pero encontre a mis amigos, pasiones, gustos y objetivos que quería para mi vida.
In high school I experienced many changes, I went through processes that allowed me to discover myself and my place in the world, it was not easy but I found my friends, passions, tastes and goals that I wanted for my life.
En el pre-universitario ya contaba con una identidad bien formada; disfrutaba de estilos musicales propios, las clases de literatura que impartía mi profesor me motivaron mucho a escribir y a amar el mundo de las letras.
In pre-university I already had a well-formed identity; I enjoyed my own musical styles, the literature classes that my professor gave me motivated me to write and to love the world of letters.
Siempre amé los animales y mi sueño era ser veterinaria, por eso, al terminar el pre-universitario decidí entrar en la "UNAH" aunque al final no pude estudiar ahí, debido a que mi padre estaba muy enfermo y murió antes de que yo pudiera ingresar, obligándome a cambiar de carrera, ya que la universidad quedaba fuera de la provincia y mi madre me necesitaba con ella. Así fue como entré a la facultad de estomatología a estudiar prótesis estomatológica.
I always loved animals and my dream was to be a veterinarian, so when I finished pre-university I decided to enter the "UNAH" although in the end I could not study there, because my father was very sick and died before I could enter, forcing me to change careers, since the university was outside the province and my mother needed me with her. That is how I entered the Faculty of Stomatology to study stomatological prosthesis.
¿Pero por qué elegí esa carrera? Muchos dicen que da dinero, otros dicen que es útil en cualquier parte del mundo, pero mis razones eran más simples, solo me gustan los dientes, una de las partes más visible del humano, mientras unos prefieren fijarse en el color de los ojos o en los labios, yo prefiero fijarme en los dientes cuando conozco a alguien, porque una sonrisa es el rasgo físico más hermoso que puede tener otro humano, desde mi punto de vista.
But why did I choose this career? Many say that it gives money, others say that it is useful anywhere in the world, but my reasons were simpler, I just like teeth, one of the most visible parts of the human, while some prefer to look at the color of the eyes or the lips, I prefer to look at the teeth when I meet someone, because a smile is the most beautiful physical feature that another human can have, from my point of view.
En la universidad conocí nuevos amigos, empecé a salir, participar en excursiones y estar en sintonía con la naturaleza. Capturar los momentos en fotos, los paisajes, los colores de los atardeceres, mirar el cielo nocturno en una playa, todo eso me trajo mucha paz y felicidad.
In college I met new friends, started going out, participating in hikes and being in tune with nature. Capturing the moments in photos, the landscapes, the colors of the sunsets, looking at the night sky on a beach, all of that brought me a lot of peace and happiness.
Mis dibujos mejoraron con el pasar del tiempo, quise experimentar, primero con el arte conceptual, haciendo una colección de collages llamada "Cegados". Después hice varios bocetos expresionistas hasta que finalmente comencé a especializarme en retratos realistas, eso me llevó a participar en una exposición física colectiva con trabajos de mi mamá y mi abuelo.
My drawings improved as time went by, I wanted to experiment, first with conceptual art, making a collection of collages called "Cegados" (Blinded). Then I made several expressionist sketches until I finally began to specialize in realistic portraits, which led me to participate in a group physical exhibition with works by my mother and my grandfather.
Descubrí que tenía pasión por la cocina y la repostería en particular, también amaba pasar el tiempo haciendo manualidades como esculturitas de jabón, collares, brazaletes, bisutería en general y otras artesanías sin fin comercial. Me encanta obsequiar este tipo de manualidades a mis amigos más cercanos y familiares, siento que es algo más personal, más íntimo que comprar algo, es conectar con la persona y demostrarle que me importa, que pensé ella y me tomé el tiempo de fabricar algo especialmente para hacerla feliz.
I discovered that I had a passion for cooking and baking in particular, I also loved spending time making crafts such as soap sculptures, necklaces, bracelets, costume jewelry in general and other non-commercial crafts. I love to give these types of crafts to my closest friends and family, I feel it is something more personal, more intimate than buying something, it is connecting with the person and showing them that I care, that I thought about them and I took the time to make something especially to make them happy.
Luego mi mama @deboravillarvera conoció el mundo de las criptomonedas, ella se adentró en comunidad, formando parte de Five Senses, ambas participamos en diversos eventos como Bitcoin Asere, ciudadELA y otras conferencias y luego de un año de insistir mi amigo @theinfiltred al fin me convenció de entrar y tener mi cuenta propia.
Then my mom @deboravillarvera got to know the world of cryptocurrencies, she entered the community, being part of Five Senses, we both participated in various events such as Bitcoin Asere, ciudadELA and other conferences and after a year of insisting my friend @theinfiltred finally convinced me to enter and have my own account.
Considero que el arte es más que lo que hago, el arte es lo que soy, es mi vida, mis sentimientos, mi mundo interior y siempre tengo la necesidad de expresarlo, de convertir mi vida cotidiana en una obra, cuando me visto, cuando cocino, cuando camino, no hay reglas, solo ponerle creatividad a tu día a día para hacerlo menos tedioso.
I consider that art is more than what I do, art is what I am, it's my life, my feelings, my inner world and I always have the need to express it, to turn my daily life into a work, when I dress, when I cook, when I walk, there are no rules, just put creativity to your day to day to make it less tedious.
¿Que cosas personales puedes saber de mi? ¿Qué me hace feliz? Me encanta ver series y el cine en general, comer chucherías como galleticas o caramelos, los días fríos. Como géneros musicales favoritos tengo el rock y el folk, aunque tengo una lista de reproducción muy variada, pueden encontrar desde Joaquín Sabina hasta Amy Winehouse, admiro mucho a Aurora, tanto su voz como su forma de ser me parecen excepcionales. Me gusta también leer, pasar tiempo con mis amigos o tomar vino mientras escucho música en un día lluvioso.
What personal things can you know about me? What makes me happy? I love watching series and movies in general, eating sweets like cookies or candies, cold days. My favorite music genres are rock and folk, although I have a very varied playlist, you can find from Joaquín Sabina to Amy Winehouse, I admire Aurora a lot, both her voice and her way of being seem exceptional to me. I also like to read, spend time with my friends or drink wine while listening to music on a rainy day.
