Entonces mi esposa como por arte de magia sacó de la despensa un puñado de granos crudos, poco menos que una libra. Así que mi tarea era prepararlo.

The house was filled with the strong smell of coffee and several curious people came to ask questions, to get drunk with the aroma given off by my pot.
Mi esposa a cada rato echaba un ojo y en un momento me dijo que apagara el fuego que ya estaba listo. Cómo los granos eran pocos fue preciso mezclarlos con un poco de chícharos, también tostados. A fin de cuentas estamos adaptados a tomar café "Hola", que en su paquete anuncia que es mezclado en un 50%. Luego de tener los granos tostados lo llevé a un pequeño molino en la casa de mi cuñado. Allí también las personas se encantaron con el olor. En un abrir y cerrar de ojos teníamos el polvo maravilloso, así que planté la cafetera y en menos de lo que canta un gallo, estuvimos degustando una buena taza de café criollo.
