El día de hoy visité junto a mi familia el estadio 26 de Julio para presenciar el tercer encuentro de la serie de béisbol entre los equipos de Artemisa e Industriales.

Good afternoon Hivers and Hive Cuba community. How are you spending these last weeks of the year? I imagine everyone is busy with preparations. Today, my family and I visited the 26 de Julio stadium to witness the third game of the baseball series between the teams of Artemisa and Industriales.
Desde el inicio se sentía la tensión beisbolera. Este partido sería el segundo de un doble juego que solo llegaría hasta el séptimo inning y debo decir que las cosas estaban parejas hasta la parte alta del cuarto, cuando Jorge Alomá hizo un jonrón con un hombre en base y anotó dos carreras para el equipo de Industriales. A raíz de eso, el staff del equipo de Artemisa tuvo problemas para recuperar la bola sacada del terreno, ya que se la llevó uno de los espectadores; cruzó el cercado y se perdió.
From the start, you could feel the baseball tension. This game would be the second of a doubleheader that would only go until the seventh inning, and I must say that things were even until the top of the fourth, when Jorge Alomá hit a home run with a man on base and scored two runs for the Industriales team. The crowd was ecstatic when Industriales hit another home run at the beginning of the fifth inning, leading to another run. I think that's one of the most exciting things about baseball games. Volviendo con lo de mi familia, compramos chicharrones de viento y, a decir verdad, la calidad bajó de la misma forma que aumentó el precio, pero ya los habíamos comprado y de igual forma nos tocó disfrutarlos. También compramos unos helados, pero estaba tan concentrada en el juego que olvidé tomarles fotos.
Speaking of my family, we bought "chicharrones de viento" and, to be honest, the quality decreased just as the price increased, but we had already bought them and had to enjoy them anyway. We also bought some ice creams, but I was so focused on the game that I forgot to take pictures of them.
Y, aunque Artemisa logró anotar dos carreras en el quinto inning, el juego terminó alrededor de las cuatro de la tarde con la pizarra marcando 6 por 2 a favor del equipo de Industriales. Todavía no comienzan los playoffs, pero tengo grandes esperanzas en la clasificación de ambos equipos.
And although Artemisa managed to score two runs in the fifth inning, the game ended around four in the afternoon with the scoreboard showing 6-2 in favor of the Industriales team. The playoffs have not started yet, but I have high hopes for both teams' qualification.
Ahora, ¿por qué mi afición por este deporte? Desde pequeña he seguido el béisbol. Mi abuela materna siempre ponía la televisión cuando había juego y desde que tengo memoria he visto partidos. Jamás me privo de presenciar un juego en el terreno. Así que toda mi pasión beisbolera se la debo a mi abuela.
Now, why do I have a passion for this sport? Since I was little, I have followed baseball. My maternal grandmother always turned on the TV when there was a game, and I have been watching games as long as I can remember. I never miss watching a game at the stadium. So, I owe all my baseball passion to my grandmother.
