Primero que nada, agradecerte por estar leyendo este artículo. De manera reducida, nos presentaremos a la comunidad de Hive, explicaremos brevemente a qué nos dedicamos, cómo llegamos y que tipo de contenido estaremos creando para aportarle valor a la comunidad.
Estilo Viajero que es?
Somos un pequeño emprendimiento, dedicado a dar a conocer nuestro país (Cuba) a sus habitantes. Te sonó extraño eh? Quién no conoce su país, increíblemente mucho de nuestros clientes, no conocían destinos que ofertamos.
Durante el pasado verano, hemos realizado actividades recreativas, en destinos como: Viñales, Las Terrazas y los destinos de playas propios del verano como: Varadero y Playa Larga. Aún somos un emprendimiento joven y pequeño pero eso no nos impide darle la mejor experiencia posible al cliente.
Por qué Estilo Viajero?
A la hora de buscar un nombre, necistabamos algo que nos diferenciase de otros emprendimientos del sector, así que decidimos que cada miembro hiciera una lista con 5 nombres y el que más gustara es el que se quedaría, por supuesto debíamos explicar porque deberiamos escogr ese nombre. Como es lógico el día de decidir no nos poníamos de acuerdo, hasta que aparació el de Estilo Viajero.
Lo curioso de esto, es que la explicación que venía con el nombre era la siguiente: En nuestro equipo, hay un integrante que desde que nos conocemos -hace mucho ya- acostumbra a decir: las cosas se hacen con estilo o no se hacen... Esa actitud fue recordada por uno de sus compañeros a lo que le añadió el viajero y aquí estamos.
Del diseño no hay mucho que hablar, nos lo regaló un amigo y realmente nunca le preguntamos porque lo creo así. No es el mejor logo del siglo XXI, pero nos gustó porque tiene un toque de caricatura, que sumado al color, llama mucho la atención y eso era lo más importante para nosotros. Que podemos mejorarlo? Si, pero pensamos mantenerlo por un tiempo, ya que fue un regalo.
Qué nos diferencia?
Nos hemos creado un pequeño hueco, en un saturado mercado. A pesar, que solamente estamos viajamos los sábado; lo hacemos a un destino diferente, lo que nos gusta llamarle: la Ruta, eso hace que si te pierdes algún destino y quieres disfrutar con nosotros tengas que esperar casi un mes. Además, tratamos de explotar nuestra creatividad(hemos realizado varias dinámicas desde: hacer que nuestros clientes se vistieran de rosado como Barbie, hasta dedicar un mes, a los trabajadores de la salud). Con seguridad, podemos decir, que manejamos los precios más bajos del mercado (te damos más por menos) y hemos definido muy bien a nuestro cliente objetivo; eso nos permite lanzar ofertas ajustadas a las necesidades de nuestros clientes. Desde el principio, fomentamos un sentimiento de familia: desde el minuto que el cliente nos contacta, hasta el final de su excursión, es atendido y supervisado por el mismo gestor, en muchas ocasiones el gestor es el mismo guía y sino vaja en la excursión; lo que permite que nuestros clientes se sientan en confinaza, logrando de esta manera, un gran índice de repitencia entre los clientes. Nuestro equipo
Estilo Viajero, es un proyecto ideado, creado y operado en su totalidad, por estudiantes universitarios. En este momento, somos 7 jóvenes, la mayoría cursa estudios de Medicina y un consultor delegado por la empresa que nos da soport logístico. En tu mente, seguto te estarás pregutnando ... Qué experiencia tienen? pues.... Nuestro equipo solo tiene bue conocimiento de ventas y de pasarla bien (que cubano no lo tiene eh?), en cuanto al sector turístico, @dahpilot y su hermana, se han encargado hasta ahora de hacer de guías principales. Cuando eran más chicos, junto sus padres; viajaron a muchos de los destinos que hoy ofertamos. Ellos, se conocen bastante bien la isla y han heredado muchos de los contactos de sus padres, que, sumado a la ayuda de internet, nos facilita mucho el trabajo. Tal vez no seamos los mejores, ni los más expertos pero las ganas de satisfacer a nuestrso clientes y brindarles una experiencia diferente nos sobran.
En resumen, nuestro equipo, es una familia, dispuesta a hacer todo lo que se pueda, para que el cliente pase un día increíble, por eso estamos en constante evolución y te aseguramos que ningún viaje es igual al anterior, no importa si el destino se repite, no hay dos iguales.
Por qué abrimos nuestro blog en Hive?
Nuestra llegada a Hive no es casual, llegamos de la mano de @dahpilot (bueno, debido a su insistencia, estamos aquí) @dahpilot es uno de los integrantes de nuestro equipo y ayudante principal para que esta idea tomara forma. Siempre fue su idea, que tuvieramos un blog donde compartiésemos las experiencias que ibamos adquiriendo y a la vez dar a conocer alguanas de las bellezas que esconde la isla, haciendo que los viajes por Cuba fueran más fáciles. Dos meses después, estamos aquí, listos para compartir y aprender con todos ustedes. Además, creemos que Hive nos puede ayudar a escalar nuestro modelo de negocio, así que todo esto hizo que elegir Hive como nuestra casa digital, no fuese tan díficil después de todo.
Sabemos, que si hubieramos publicado antes, hubiesemos aumentado nuestra clientela, pero la realidad es que: Hive tiene una curva de aprendizaje bastante grande y con @dahpilot sumamente ocupado, es un milagro que hayamos podido llegar hasta aquí. El tiempo que nos demoramos en arrancar, nos ha demostrado que Hive es el lugar adecuado, hemos estado aprendiendo del funcionamiento del ecositema y sus bondades. Esperamos poder aportar a este ecositema y en especial a la comunidad cubana que esta teniendo un crecimiento exponencial.
El verano se acabó, muchos han vuelto a la rutina: la escuela, los trabajos y nosostros no somos diferentel. Aún así, mientras la situación del combustible nos permita, seguiremos haciendo nuestros viajes, dicen que Cuba es un eterno verano.

Qué contenido publicaremos?
Como nos dedicamos a viajar por nuestro país, nuestro contenido estará orientado a los viajes: leerás, desde artículos donde hablamos de nuestras actividades,nuestras propias experiencias, consejos útiles para viajar por la isla, que puede ser un maravilla o un infierno y algunos artículos orientados a futuros visitantes. Todo, desde el punto de vista de un grupo de jóvenes y sobretodo orientado a ahorrar y no caer en las trampas. También, queremos compartir alguno de los libros que nos han ayudado en nuestro camino y como los adpatamos a nuestra realidad. Pensamos compartir un poco de finanzas a la hora de viajar y ... bueno, lo demás lo irás viendo con el tiempo, esperamos traer batante contenido entretenido.
Por otra parte, esperamos consumir contenido para así aprender y sobretodo, conocer nuevas personas en nuestro país y en otros lugares, quien sabe y surge alguna alianza por ahí.

Nuestro futuro?
Ahora mismo, lo más urgente para nosotros es retomar los viajes. Hemos tenido que detener operaciones, debido a la situación de escasez de combustible que vive Cuba. Luego, pretendemos aceptar pagos en $HBD para todos nuestros destinos y servicios. Pero queremos más, con la idea de ayudar a todo el que quiera conocer la isla más grande del Caribe; esperamos, abir nuevos servicios como: la asesoría turística, rutas y guías personalizados según tus gustos y presupuesto (y si, podrás pagar con $HBD), hemos ido desarrolando algunas ideas de servicios que te harán elegirnos si quieres conocer Cuba. De esta manera, esperamos convertirnos en la referencia en Hive, cuando de turismo cubano se trata. En el mundo offline, esperamos seguir creciendo y abriendo nuevo destinos para los clientes que nos siguen eligiendo, si el combustible lo permite.

First and foremost, we want to thank you for taking the time to read this article. In a nutshell, we're introducing ourselves to the Hive community, giving a brief overview of what we do, how we got here, and the kind of content we'll be creating to bring value to the community.
What is Estilo Viajero?
We're a small venture dedicated to showcasing our country (Cuba) to its own residents. Sounds strange, right? Surprisingly, many of our clients were not familiar with the destinations we offer.
During the past summer, we organized recreational activities in places like Viñales, Las Terrazas, and popular beach destinations such as Varadero and Playa Larga. Although we're a young and small enterprise, that doesn't stop us from providing the best possible experience to our customers.
Why Estilo Viajero?
When it came to choosing a name, we wanted something that would set us apart from other ventures in the industry. So, we decided that each team member would make a list of 5 names, and the one that everyone liked the most would be the winner. Of course, we had to explain why we should choose that name. Naturally, on the day of the decision, we couldn't agree on a name until "Estilo Viajero" appeared. (in english is something like Travel Style)
The interesting thing about it is that the explanation that came with the name was as follows: In our team, there's a member who, ever since we've known each other - which has been a long time - always says, "Things should be done with style or not at all." That attitude was remembered by one of their colleagues, who added "viajero" (traveler) to it, and here we are.
As for the design, there's not much to talk about. It was a gift from a friend, and we never really asked why they created it that way. It may not be the best logo of the 21st century, but we liked it because it has a cartoonish touch that, combined with the colors, grabs a lot of attention, and that was the most important thing for us. Can we improve it? Sure, but we plan to keep it for a while since it was a gift.
What sets us apart?
Our venture has carved out a small niche in a saturated market. We only travel on Saturdays, and we call it "La Ruta" (The Route) because we go to a different destination each time. This means that if you miss a particular destination and want to enjoy it with us, you'll have to wait almost a month. Furthermore, we strive to unleash our creativity. We've organized various activities, from having our clients dress in pink like Barbie to dedicating a whole month to healthcare workers.
With confidence, we can say that we offer the lowest prices in the market (more for less), and we have a clear understanding of our target customers. This allows us to launch tailored offers that meet their needs. From the very beginning, we foster a sense of family: from the moment a client contacts us until the end of their excursion, they are attended to and supervised by the same manager. In many cases, the manager is also the guide, ensuring that our clients feel comfortable and establishing a high rate of customer loyalty. Last but not least, let us introduce our team (explained below).
Our Team
Estilo Viajero is a project conceived, created, and operated entirely by university students. Currently, we are a team of 7 young individuals, with the majority studying Medicine, and we have a consultant delegated by the company who provides logistical support. Now, you might be wondering, "What experience do they have?" Well, our team may not have extensive experience in the tourism sector, but we do have a good knowledge of sales and having a good time (which is something every Cuban is familiar with, right?). As for the tourism sector, @dahpilot and their sister have taken on the role of being our main guides. When they were younger, they traveled to many of the destinations we offer today alongside their parents. They have a good understanding of the island and have inherited many of their parents' contacts, which, combined with the help of the internet, makes our work much easier. We may not be the best or the most experienced, but we have an abundance of enthusiasm to satisfy our clients and provide them with a unique experience.
In summary, our team is like a family, ready to do everything we can to ensure our clients have an incredible day. That's why we're constantly evolving, and we can guarantee that no two trips are the same, even if the destination repeats.
Why we open our blog on Hive?
Our arrival on Hive wasn't some random coincidence, we got dragged into it by @dahpilot (well, due to his relentless pestering, here we are). @dahpilot is one of our team members and the main instigator behind this whole idea. He always had this crazy notion of us having a blog where we could share our experiences and showcase the hidden beauties of the island, making traveling in Cuba a breeze. And now, two months later, we're here, ready to spill the beans and learn from all of you. We reckon Hive can help us take our business to the next level, so choosing Hive as our digital home wasn't as tough as we thought.
We know that if we had started publishing earlier, we could have expanded our client base, but let's face it: Hive has a pretty steep learning curve, and with @dahpilot being crazy busy, it's a miracle we made it this far. The time it took us to get off the ground has shown us that Hive is the right place. We've been learning the ins and outs of this ecosystem and all its perks. We hope to contribute to this ecosystem, especially to the Cuban community that's experiencing explosive growth.
Summer's over, and many folks have gone back to their routines: school, work, you name it. And guess what? We're no different. But hey, as long as we've got enough fuel in the tank, we'll keep on taking our trips. They say Cuba is an eternal summer, after all.

What kind of content will we publish?
Since our focus is on traveling within our country, our content will revolve around travel. You can expect to read articles about our activities, our own experiences, helpful tips for traveling around the island (which can be both a wonderland and a nightmare), and some articles aimed at future visitors. And we'll be approaching it all from the perspective of a group of young people, with a strong emphasis on saving money and avoiding traps. We also want to share some of the books that have helped us along the way and how we adapt them to our reality. We plan to touch on the topic of finances when it comes to traveling and... well, you'll see the rest as time goes on. We hope to bring you plenty of entertaining content.
On the other hand, we're also looking forward to consuming content ourselves to learn and, most importantly, to connect with new people in our country and around the world. Who knows, perhaps some partnerships will emerge along the way.

Our Future?
Right now, the most pressing matter for us is getting back to traveling. We had to suspend operations due to the fuel shortage situation in Cuba. After that, our plan is to start accepting payments in $HBD for all our destinations and services. But we want more. With the goal of helping anyone who wants to experience the largest island in the Caribbean, we hope to offer new services such as tourism consulting, personalized routes and guides tailored to your preferences and budget (and yes, you'll be able to pay with $HBD). We've been developing some ideas for services that will make you choose us if you want to explore Cuba. In this way, we hope to become the go-to reference on Hive when it comes to Cuban tourism. In the offline world, we aim to keep growing and opening up new destinations for our loyal customers who continue to choose us, as long as the fuel situation allows it.
So, we urge you to create content, generate HBD, and reserve some of the services we'll be offering. You won't regret it.
