Buenas buenas...

Good good...
I hope you are doing well. I happily come to join the initiative: Cooking in full color with HiveFood Week #3 White; and I'm going to do it with a very powerful food, it is the Egg.
This rich and nutritious food is well known. Eggs contain vitamins in both the white and the yolk. Among the vitamins it contains are vitamins A, D, E and K. However, it also contains minerals such as phosphorus, selenium, iron and zinc. It is known that by consuming the egg white alone we can obtain between 10% and 20% of the recommended daily amount of vitamins. The yolk is known to be rich in fats, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. But there are some very beneficial for health, which are: oleic acid, linoleic acid and omega 3. Super potent and small, as the saying goes: "good perfume comes in small packages".
I decided to make it parboiled to eat it with the arepa, and as the star is the egg I will tell you the process I did, so I invite you to watch and read what I did. Oh, by the way, I chose the egg because I really wanted to eat the arepa like this, and since I read about this initiative, I decided to take the opportunity to participate.
I took two eggs
I put them in a pot to cook them.
I add a little water
And to assemble it in the kitchen
There they will stay cooking for a while
When they are ready, I put a pot of fresh water next to them. I usually do this procedure to be able to remove the shell more easily, since they are not so hot. My parents taught me that.
After passing them through the fresh water, I take them out one by one and hit them a little against the counter, this in order to crack the shell and remove it.
Once the shells are off, I pick them so I can use them in the arepa.
But since I'm not going to eat the arepa with just the eggs, I'll tell you and show you the other ingredients I used.
I took the arepa, which I had fried, and opened it.
The first thing I put are the parboiled egg wheels.
Next I put some tomato slices
Then some onion
Then a few pieces of avocado.
And finally some mayonnaise
This concludes the filling of my arepa, of course with the star ingredient which is the egg.
I'm a sucker for boiled eggs, especially in salads. Thanks for staying to watch and read, see you in the next post.
