My thoughts on @hitmeasap's writing

So, @hitmeasap asked us what we think of their writing

So, I have been following their rise to fame for a little while now, and as an ancient Steemian, I feel ready to talk about them behind their back.

The information in their posts is good, and they have started a series of posts called Steemit 101, which they use to introduce new Steemians how to best handle themselves on Steem. The information is good, and actually manages to go more in-depth than most posts of such type.

Their writing is clear, well laid out, and easy to read. They make good use of spacing and images to provide pacing.

In their course, they mention that they have studied the top trending posts when they started posting on Steem. They have since them drilled down into the formula for writing good posts.

And it shows... While the information is good, the writing tends to be formulaic. It is simple, and unsophisticated. I find it a bit pedestrian. There are occasional flashes of delight, personality and whimsy, such as when they write about the SteemCruise, but a lot of it has little personality.

As for the topics... Looking at the current top posts they are: Steem... With an occasional drift into other topics. The impression is of somebody who lives and breathes Steem.

I really think that a better long term option for them would be to write about other topics as well, so that they can attract people that enjoy their writing in itself. I really think that they would find that liberating.

From a couple of interactions with @hitmeasap, I can see a caring individual with hidden depths, and I believe that their writing would benefit if they let some of those hidden depths out, and let us see more glimpses of the person behind the Steemer.

@hitmeasap, if you are reading this, remember to take everything with a grain of salt. After all, I am just some guy on the the other side of the planet.

In a recent post, they mentioned that they studied the
