Kanye sat down for a new 1.5 hour long form interview that aired today. He was talking to the NY radio personality Charlemagne Tha God. He discussed bitcoin a few times, and each time in a positive way.
The most intriguing mention was when he said that seeing Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill made him want to exchange his money for bitcoin. He said this in the context of how bringing up history of slavery so often can bring the pain of the past in an uncomfortable way. We need to more forward beyond slavery, just like we need to move forward past fiat currency to cryptocurrency. (Not that I am saying financial ‘slavery’ and real slavery are synonymous.)
