Any oddity is not it? Date that jumped 11 days on September 2nd. But the mystery was solved. The weirdness of the 11 day disappearance of that year is due to the calendar changes which originally used the 'Julian' calendar to be the 'Gregorian' calendar. Actually this Gregorian calendar has long been introduced and used in the European continent since 1582 but in the UK just used in 1752.

The Julian calendar they used to determine one year was exactly 365 days 6 hours, when in fact the earth surrounded the sun less than that time, so the 365 days and 6 hours set were over 11 minutes 10 seconds. This means that every year they are 11 minutes 10 seconds and will be 24 hours (1 day) every 131 years, to 3 days every 400 years, and in 1582 the number of excess reaches 10 days. To avoid a more fatal mistake, on October 5, 1582, the calendar changed from Julian to Gregorian and jumped ten days so that the next day straight into the 15th of October.

Britain that has not used the Gregorian calendar Year 1752 is confused because the difference has grown to 11 days, and the British finally changed their calendar into Gregorian calendar and then the 11 days excess is eliminated to adjust to the actual time, and the incident occurred on 2 September 1752 the next day live on September 14, 1752.
