I wanted to showcase a couple emcees that are not yet on Steemit that attended @elamental's record release party. I will start off by introducing Von Gage, a conscious Hip-Hop emcee from Portland, OR with a sick style that incorporates a bit of singing vocals coupled with his rapping.
Von Gage has a phrase he always spits when performing, and that phrase is: WHAPPIT! Usually this phrase is his cue to the DJ that he is done with his intro, and it is time to move onto the next track. WHAPPIT actually has more of a meaning than just being a fancy sounding transitional cue word. W.H.A.P.P.I.T. is actually an acronym (I love hip-hopronyms), which stands for Wise Hustlers Always Prosper Perfectly in Time, which he explains in the video.
Gage also makes mention of how Reptilian lizard aliens are likely running this world, and how no humans actually want war, and all we really want for each other is love and unity, so something else must be calling the shots due to our constant genocides over nonsense that doesn't matter. A rational conclusion in my book. But... "I'm gonna be ok... Doing my own thing, doing my own thing, in my own way... New dimensions... New direction..."
