Buen día mis queridos Hivers lectores, a finales de noviembre tuve la oportunidad de visitar la Biblioteca Pública Central Julián Temístocles Maza ubicada en Barcelona, estado Anzoátegui (Venezuela). Esta biblioteca es considerada la más grande del estado Anzoátegui y lleva funcionando más de 75 años. La biblioteca cuenta con aproximadamente más de 118 mil libros, varios debo decir, no están en el mejor estado por su vejez y ciertas condiciones ambientales de la biblioteca, incluso me enteré estando allí que la biblioteca será cambiada de lugar por su deterioro. Mi motivo para asistir a la biblioteca fue que había un evento cultural siendo llevado a cabo ahí y mi mamá iba a cantar con sus compañeras del coro en el que está. Me alegra haberla acompañado, pues aunque la biblioteca no esté en su mejor momento, me hace feliz ver que todavía hay lugares que le hacen un espacio al cultivo de la lectura y guardan en sí diferentes textos literarios para el disfrute de sus asistentes. >Good day my dear Hivers readers, at the end of November I had the opportunity to visit the Julián Temístocles Maza Central Public Library located in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state (Venezuela). This library is considered the largest in the state of Anzoátegui and has been in operation for more than 75 years. The library has approximately more than 118 thousand books, several I must say, are not in the best condition due to their age and certain environmental conditions of the library, I even found out while I was there that the library will be moved due to its deterioration. >My reason for attending the library was that a cultural event was being held there and my mom was going to sing with her fellow members of the choir she is in. I' m glad I went with her, because even though the library is not at its best, it makes me happy to see that there are still places that make space for the cultivation of reading and keep different literary texts for the enjoyment of their attendees.

Les cuento que realmente no visite todas las zonas de la biblioteca por cuestiones de tiempo y el área donde más estuve fue en la zona de niños, pues fue el lugar que le asignaron al coro para estar mientras pasaban otros grupos a presentarse. Lo primero que debo destacar es que la zona de niños está organiza de manera linda, pero tiene muy poca luz y todos sabemos que para poder leer bien y no dañarnos la vista debemos leer con una buena luz, pero sí de ambiente hablamos, pues si tenía su toque infantil para el agrado de los niños. >Actually I did not visit all the areas of the library due to time limitations and the area where I was most was in the children's area, as it was the place assigned to the choir to be while other groups were performing. >The first thing I must point out is that the children's area is nicely organized, but it has very little light and we all know that in order to read well and not damage our eyesight we must read with a good light, but if we are talking about environment, it did have a childish touch for the children's enjoyment.

Esto está justo al lado de la entrada de la zona para niños, hay algunas decoraciones en el techo y cuadros con infografías infantiles como decoración. >This is right next to the entrance of the children's area, there are some decorations on the ceiling and pictures with children's infographics as decoration.

Como pueden ver la biblioteca si tiene iluminación y varias entradas de luz, pero aun así se ve un poco oscura. Esta parte de la biblioteca está al lado de la zona para niños y me llamo la atención que tiene documentos en Braille, cosa que me parece bastante buena (no entiendo por qué hay un caucho ahí... pero bueno, aquí mostramos realidades 😅). >As you can see the library does have lighting and several light entrances, but it still looks a little dark. This part of the library is next to the children's area and I noticed that it has documents in Braille, which I think is pretty good (I don't understand why there is a rubber there... but well, here we show realities 😅).

Esta zona me gusto, se ve bastante silenciosa y privada, lo único es que está muy oscura. Como se puede apreciar la biblioteca de hecho tiene bastantes libros, lo cual me alegra, es bueno tener tanto conocimiento reunido en un solo lugar. >I liked this area, it looks quite quiet and private, the only thing is that it is quite dark. As you can see the library actually has quite a few books, which I'm glad, it's nice to have so much knowledge gathered in one place.

Esta zona particularmente me gusto, pues me pareció que estaba bien distribuida y tiene una salida que da hacia un pequeño jardín (lamentablemente está deteriorado, pero el potencial está ahí). También me gusto que allí se encontraban ubicados los libros de psicología, tema que me interesa bastante. >I particularly liked this area, as it seemed to me that it was well distributed and has an exit that leads to a small garden (unfortunately it is deteriorated, but the potential is there). I also liked that the psychology books were located there, a subject that interests me a lot.

Como pueden ver, muchos de los libros ya están muy viejos, sus páginas se han vuelto muy amarillas y se están deshaciendo, aun así hay muchos otros que se encuentran en buen estado y al final lo más importante es el contenido de los libros, no tanto su estética. >As you can see many of the books are already very old, their pages have become very yellow and are falling apart, even so there are many others that are in good condition and in the end the most important thing is the content of the books, not so much their aesthetics.

Hay varias pinturas en las paredes de la biblioteca, esta pertenece a la zona de niños. >There are several paintings on the walls of the library, this one belongs to the children's area.

Aquí se puede ver un poco más la zona de niños con niños y sus representantes en ella. Como pueden ver la biblioteca tal vez no brilla en belleza, pues como llevo mencionando está deteriorada, pero qué bueno es ver a los niños asistiendo a ella y aprendiendo. >Here you can see a little more of the children's area with children and their representatives in it. As you can see the library may not shine in beauty, as I have been saying it is deteriorated, but it is great to see the children attending and learning.

Esta es otra parte de la biblioteca que está más alejada de donde yo estuve la mayor parte del tiempo, es la zona de procesos técnicos y tiene su buena cantidad de libros en ella. Me gusto que da directamente al aire libre por el otro lado y entra bastante la luz del sol ☀️. >This is another part of the library that is further away from where I was most of the time, it is the technical process area and has a good amount of books in it. I like that it faces directly outdoors on the other side and gets a lot of sunlight ☀️.

Como mencioné antes, me gusta mucho que la biblioteca tenga estas pinturas en sus paredes, siento que le da un toque muy interesante. >I really liked this mural, I feel it has a mysterious vibe, possibly because of the tonality of its colors and the particular style in which it is drawn. As I mentioned before, I really like that the library has these paintings on its walls, I feel it gives it a very interesting touch. 📚 Me hizo muy feliz estar en la biblioteca ese día, me sentí como en casa porque me encanta leer y aunque realmente no sé si al final la terminaran cambiando de lugar o no, si espero que la sigan cuidando e intentando restaurar (aunque ya dijeron que hay cosas que no se pueden arreglar), pues el conocimiento debe seguir esparciéndose, el hábito de la lectura no debe perderse, ya que es muy valioso para crear disciplina, discernimiento y el desarrollo de la creatividad, recordemos que el conocimiento es poder 🧠. >I was very happy to be in the library that day, I felt at home because I love reading and although I really don't know if in the end they will end up changing the location or not, I hope they continue taking care of it and trying to restore it (although they already said that there are things that cannot be fixed), because knowledge must continue to be spread, the habit of reading should not be forgotten, since it is very valuable to create discipline, discernment and the development of creativity, let's remember that knowledge is power 🧠. 📚 Estoy segura de que esta no será mi última visita a esta biblioteca, gracias por leerme 🤓🌻. >I'm sure this won't be my last visit to this library, thanks for reading me 🤓🌻.
