Heart Shape Lake of GOA

la.jpg

There exists a beautifully concealed spot near the coast guard colony in Chicolna, Before you reach the spot, the path forks – one leading lower and one elevated above. Following the lower path will lead you to the lagoon – a heart-shaped water body a few metres from the waves crashing on rocks. The path goes along the water making for a perfect spot to spend a few hours. The higher path leads to the cliff, also called ‘Yes Point or Suicide Point’. If you stand at the out edge, you’re offered a 10 degree view of the ocean and surrounding coastal area, looking all the way up to Majorda on the South and Vasco on the North. The perfect spot to watch the sunset. Definitely better than climbing Chapora for a similar view.
Directions: From Dabolim junction, just ahead of the Goa International Airport head towards Bogmalo. On the way to Bogmalo, when you cross Felicity gym you will see a Chicolna bus stand on the right opposite of which, there is a road that lead towards Stone Water Resort. Instead of taking the left that takes you to Stone Water, go straight towards the Coast Guard colony. Head straight from here and you will find an unbuilt road, which when followed brings you to this picturesque place. The path is tricky, but frequent visitors, locals and joggers will be more than willing to direct you. We’re warning you: this place is no easy find, but once discovered is worth the effort and exercise
