Western Digital has a practice to differentiate its different storage solutions by color depending on their application. Among the series are black, blue and green, which are aimed at enthusiasts, ordinary consumers and budgets. Less well known is the WD Purple series (purple), which is designed for corporate users, offering greater reliability.
The new addition to WD Purple is a MicroSD card that offers read and write speeds of only 80 MB / s and 50 MB / s in the UHS-I class. On the other hand, the card has a warranty of up to 1000 write cycles and durability of temperatures between -25C and 85C. The maps are suitable for indoor and outdoor surveillance systems.
