I started a ministry this past fall called Hats For Vets. I started it because the way people treat veterans in this day an age is absolutely ridiculous! So what I do is knit or crochet hats, and take them to VA hospitals or just hand them to any veterans I meet around my area. It is a way I say thank you in a small way.
