Hello to all women and girl child in the world, because of your importance to the world, today has been dedicated to your struggles and freedom from been relegated to only home works and within kitchen influence, which have seen an unprecedent achievement and accolades by women in all area of endeavours, eg; Politics, academics and sports etc, without compromising in their foundametal duties of child bearing and upbringing.
Before I write further, let me elaborate on how and why this day has come to be;
International women's day (IWD) is celebrated on march 8th of every year, it commemorates the movement for women's right.
SIGNIFICANCE:
* CIVIL AWARENESS DAY.
* WOMEN AND GIRLS DAY.
* ANTI-SEXISM DAY.
* ANTI-DISCRIMINATION DAY.
Since it's official kick-off on 8th of march, 1917, every have a theme,
The theme of IWD in 2017 is;
"WOMEN IN CHANGING WORLD OF WORK,"
(PLANET 50-50 BY 2030)
The theme for 2018;
"THE TIME IS NOW," (RURAL AND URBAN ACTIVIST TRANSFORMING WOMEN'S LIVES).
(Struggles of our women)
This is one of the women's keynote speech in 8th march, 1914. "Give us women's suffrage ,until now, prejudice and reactionary attitudes have denied full civil rights to women, who as mothers and citizens wholly fulfill their duty, who must pay their taxes to the state as well as the municipal. Fighting for this natural human right must be firm, unwavering intentions of every woman, every female workers in this, no pause for rest, no respite is allowed.
" I called that determination", oh yeah!.
But alot of reactions regarding the trend has termed this day, as a day of rebellion of working women against kitchen-slavery and down with the oppression and narrow-mindedness household work.
But my thought is different , you can guess where I stand?..
How beautiful it is, to see a dream come through;
I am writting in praise of all our struggling women in the world. Who works harder than their men and still comes home to fulfill her culinary duties while their men keep company with one thing or the other.
Despite their hard labour at work still found out time to smile and energy to keep up her enthusiasm, despite the pains in child-bearing still commits to giving our world more beautiful babies to behold, God bless you, mamas.
Have you imagined a world without these wonderful and beautiful creatures?, doom would've been our next destination.
Women are the reason behind the phrase, " world without an end".
One day, my mum asked me to describe her in two words, without hestitation I roared in a loving tune, "best mummy, you are a giver and a planter".
The least woman on earth has planted and given something to the world.
Your presence gives a rainbow colour to the world and the world can never be a better place without you.
