A blessed day to all stemians out there 😊 I am hoping you all had a great day. Today is the birthday celebration of a pioneer and my mentor here in steemit and the one who invited me to try out this cool platform, none other than @lorner. She is Ate Lourgene and through her experiences here in steemit, she has helped a lot of our co-steemians. She is not stingy and she always shares her new insights and ideas. She helps us a lot whenever we encounter problems and questions regarding on our steemit whereabouts.

Earlier this day, we went to her house to do our Mañanita. It's a thing we do to celebrate the birthday of our churchmates, we sing songs of praises and thanksgiving and greet the birthday celebrant. We do this around 4:30-5:00 in the morning as we sing outside the house of the celebrant. After that, we will share our declaration to the celebrant. Then, the celebrant offers us anything to eat. Today, she prepared bihon, hotdog, bread and coffee/chocolate drinks.
We are blessed because the Lord has given Ate Lourgene another year to celebrate together with her family. She is even one of my "adopted mothers" in church. We are all happy that she's running the race of life together with us and her presence is a joy to us.
Later this night, she invited us again for dinner and her son, Renz, who is my godchild, did the sweetest thing a kid could do for his age 😊 He shyly handed me his popcorn treat and said that he wanted me to have this. Aaaaahw, such a sweet kid 😘 Totally flattered my heart.
I was going to return it since it was supposed to be his but his mother told me to keep it to not hurt the child's feelings.
Many good things happened today, and one of it was that God allowed us to live again by another day. He alone has the power to extend our lives and our days are written in his book. May you be blessed abundantly according to God's riches in heaven. Good day and God bless you 😊
