News like this honestly scares me a lot. You always think it won’t affect you, that scammers aren’t interested in you, and then your personal data just gets stolen and used for their own purposes. And fine, if it’s just spam starting to come in. The consequences can be way more serious. Overall, that’s one of the reasons I started using temporary numbers. It’s impossible to control everything, and sometimes even the most secure and trusted sites fail to keep data safe. So it’s better not to leave your number anywhere at all.
