Imagine we are in an armada of space ships. A fleet of human explorers.
We have Scouts, Frigates, Battleships, Space Carriers, and Colonization Vessels.
Each ship has limited energy generation. Each one is designed to generate enough power to perform their function in full capacity.
But during times of non-conflict or non-full-utilization their energy is available to every other ship.
Should we not be able to consoldiate this research potential among our armada?
Imagine...
Now, we have entered a new sector and there is a quadrillion calculations to be made.
How do we calculate the right course of action?
If we work together, the smartest and most able of us, will have the best information needed to make the correct choice.
I put forth this origin. I need others to expand and to build upon this idea.
