My dear friend Chetan Padliya (@chetanpadliya) is hosting a new challenge π, the Green Salad Recipe Challenge π₯. So I decided to take a photo of today's salad. π·
As always, my focus is on preparing simple, quick and delicious recipes which can be easily incorporated into our daily lives. π In order to make it extra healthy, I did not add any salt or oil. The salt will not be missed however, because I also added some lemon juice and vinegar to the dressing. π
Ingredients for the salad π
1 head of green lettuce
1 avocado π₯
1 cucumber π₯
Ingredients for the dressing π
2 tbsp tahini
4 tbsp lemon juice π
2 tbsp vinegar
1/8 tsp garlic powder (to taste)
1/8 tsp black pepper (to taste)
1/8 red onion
1/4 red bell pepper
π And this is how we do it! π
Procedure for the dressing
- Place 50ml water, 2 tbsp tahini, 1/8 red onion and 1/4 red bell pepper in a food processor. Also add 4 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp vinegar. Process it on high speed until it is nice and smooth.
- Strain through a sieve and thin to drizzling consistency with a little water if necessary.
- Add garlic powder and black pepper (to taste).
Procedure for the salad π₯
- Place salad leaves, sliced cucumber and diced avocado into a large salad bowl.
- Add the dressing and stir it all up!
