Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's "Green New Deal" is the subject of much criticism.
There is now a price tag on it: $93 trillion over 10 years.
The proposal is focused upon climate change which is only part of the total. That accounts for $10 trillion. The majority of the price tag is in the expansion of the welfare state and government. That makes up more than $50 trillion of the total.
Of course, Ocasio-Cortez did not offer any explanation of how to pay for this.
