LAND GRAB TO GO AHEAD NEXT YEAR

Really bad news came out today as the Joint Constitutional Review Committee ruled in favor of changing the constitution so that land expropriation can go ahead. The vote was passed by 12 votes to 4. This is not good for what may lie ahead. I don't trust anything they say so it could still work out fine or be a total disaster. I tend to go with the latter as we have seen what they are capable of doing.

It was announced that nothing will happen until after the elections next year. This is one way of stalling yet again to try get them another 4 years in power. A massive carrot to bribe the voters. i am hoping that they hand out land that is vacant and don't try herd the white farmers away. If that happens it will have serious implications not right now, but in a few years to come as there will be food shortages.

What I find worrying is how easy it was to change the constitution. This sets a precedent for future things that they can bend the rules to suit themselves. I don't care what anyone says this is a dictatorship at the moment and is sending the country in one direction. If this continues they will join the list of the African countries lying in ruin.

Funny enough Namibia has announced that they to would like to do this for their people and will start discussing their land expropriation to commence sometime next year.!
