Jesus taught the disciples to pray to God and ask them to forgive their sins. He explained very clearly that forgiveness depends on how they forgive other people. They should have prayed like this: God, forgive us our sins, as we forgive our debtors. We can read this complete sentence in chapter 6 in Matthew.

We must be clear that God is the one who acts on you when you feel restless in your conscience. And when you understand that you must pray for forgiveness. You may understand that you have chosen the wrong address at the crossroads of your life, and you want to return and make another decision. You also realize that you have done something wrong.

The apostle Peter once told people that they realized they had done wrong: repent and turn to receive the remission of sins. When you sincerely repent, then you receive a need and ask forgiveness from God and people.

The Bible says that he who hides his sins will be in a bad situation. If a person is silent and does not confess his sins, then he does not receive forgiveness. Then joy is also absent. The apostle John writes: "If we confess our sins, then He, being faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1: 9)

When you come to God and ask for forgiveness, you free yourself from your guilt because Jesus blamed himself. Therefore, you can confidently ask for the forgiveness of the sin you have committed and experience that God will throw all your sins into the depths of the ocean, as the Bible says.

The starting point is the forgiveness of sins, and on the way you can get help to live with a clear conscience through the fact that you imitate the example of Jesus and take the cross on you every day.
