In eastern Siberia a new gold rush is taking place since dozens of gold bars fell out of a cargo plane carrying 9 tons of gold, diamonds, and platinum.

How did this happen, you ask ?

Well, technicians who prepared the plane, failed to properly fix the cargo hatch, which had been torn off by a strong air flow during previous take-off.

Local authorities have sealed off the runway, and reported that 172 gold bars (=3,75 tons) have been found so far.

BUT, the plane airdropped gold bars as far as 26 kilometers from the airport it!

Which leaves us with 5,25 tons of gold bars (worth more than 210 million USD) laying around, waiting for a lucky Leprechaun.
