I recently watched Get Out which was originally at the theater in 2017. Why only watch it now? The trailer was pretty hard to take especially one which had strange characters. I decided to watch it yesterday. This movie is good but it lacks something.

synopsis

Chris and his Girl, Rose decides that it's parents boyfriend meet day. Chris travels with Rose to her house to meet her parents. There everything plays out perfectly like in any love movies. On the way to her home, they hit a deer. He meets her parents, have dinner. They did the lovely dovey in their room and sleeps. Suddenly, in the middle of the night, he wakes up feeling strange and walks out the house to see what happened to the deer. (obviously soulless and he needed a car, why would he do that? I for one thing would not want to look at a dead animal I accidentally hit in the dead of night)

He sees one of her workers running towards him. Rose's home has two African American workers.

He looks at the window, the other worker who is looking at the window finger combing her hair. He senses something wrong. It was till he walked in the room, he was invited by Rose's mom for a cup of tea which turned out to be hypnosis session. Things turn really bizzare. Everyone seems to act strange. The only question is why?

Later, he got locked into this room.

Long story short. It turns out that Rose's father is does surgeries to replace the brains of healthy strong African Americans with those who are ill in his basement. Rose baits all the victims pretending to be their lover bringing them home to have their brains cut out. Chris manages to escape and kills everyone in the family. The two workers turns out to be the grandparents of Rose. The reason the patient chose Chris was because of his strength and his Eyes???? But why???

It's a good movie. I got entertained just thinking of why strange things were happening and what's the reason behind it. No CGI except for the deer part I guess. Just pure storey telling. It falls a bit short on some logic part which is something movies aren't good at doing. Do watch it.
