Hi!
Normally one is dreading before really cold german winters because one is not used to them (especially if you aren't into ski :D). Since a few weeks, winter has Germany fully in grip. And generally its considered to be the best time to stay indoors, cook, read a book, sip tee and enjoy the company of your family.
But as the temperatures are nosediving to -15 degrees in Munich, its actually not bad to go out and check a park or a lake. The parks and the lakes you think you know since long suddenly becomes unreognizable. They look completely different, white, frozen up, snowclad but somehow very beautiful..check out the pics from my vicinity in Munich! Its the Isar river and west park area.!
And try to enjoy the winters a bit by venturing out of your homes until the winter lasts :-). Its worth it!!
