Third person battle royal is the way to go right now. PUBG and Fortnite are killing it. And for good reasons, they are fun to play, easy to pick up and play and a great game to stream. But I have been thinking. Can we take this 100 person battle and move it over to another genre. Maybe an RPG battle or a strategy game where you get one move a turn. Someone is going to come up with something and it could be the next big title. Too bad we can't make our own on steem. I guess we could if there are some programmers out there. Here are genres that could work.
CARS:
If you have played a Twisted Metal game you know what I am taking about. Take that type of kgame and throw in PUBG rules. Done. You already have a hit. You can pimp out your car so customization is done and you can have power-ups on this course. We need to get on this...
First Person Shooter:
Okay this is the lazy way as a third-person shooter is not that far off from a first-person shooter. There might even be an option to switch to first-person camera in one or both of these games. But they are not designed as FPS games and it would be a different experience. I am thinking of having it in a house. A really BIG one. You all start in a room and then try to be the last person standing. Nope, still like the car idea better.
PVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVP.....
In MMOs you can run a pvp match-up where your character takes on another player (or 2 v 2 or whatever). A battle royale mode would leave 100 players, all equpied, fighting to survive. Go white mage. This would not be the same as PUBG at all as you would have your equipment before the match but could be fun... Yeah, I know, cars.
A 2D one would be cool but hard to hide.
