I'm a rock and roll star (virtually)

Lots of us aspire to the life of a rock star, but it will remain a dream for the majority. Now there is a way to see if you can get there that avoid risks of early death from drugs, sexually transmitted diseases or on-stage electrocution. Rising Star is a game built on Hive with some cool features.

Game

As with some other Hive games cards play a part. You can buy or win them to help your progress, but initially you do not need to pay anything to start playing and earning some crypto. There is an in-game currency called Starbits, which are traded on Hive Engine. You win these for completing various mission. To start with all you can do is illegally busk. After five minutes you will have gained some Starbits as well as some valuable experience which you need to level up. You can only do this so many times each day as it requires energy which takes a while to recharge. You can recover quicker with coffee and pizza cards. You have to work your way up through the local music scene and on to international stardom.

There are random bonuses such as drunken fans (who forget you after a few hours) and 'luck' which can help you win more stuff.

Cards can be offered for sale using any of the Hive Engine tokens, so if you happen to have lots of BEER you may be able to use that. Some missions will pay you in other tokens.

At the bottom of the screen is a music player. This features music from Hivers with links to their various on-line accounts so you can support them. This is a brilliant idea to get more support to musicians. I have submitted one of my own songs that people may get to hear whilst playing.

The game's main account is @risingstargame and it was created by @atomcollector who I have supported previously. I have always seen Steem and now Hive as an ideal home for musicians where their fans can give them real financial support. There is an active Discord to get help for the game.

There is a referral scheme, so clicking my link will gain me extra Starbits as you play.

This tutorial will show you how things work, but the game has already undergone development and so some aspects look a little different now. You can play it on mobile devices too for when you are out and about.

Posting about the game could win you more cards. I think having more games is a great way to get more people involved with Hive. Not everyone is a blogger and they can earn a little crypto just by playing.

Rock on!

I may as well share some of my other referral links in case anyone is interested, I do not make much from these generally:
