This weekend I am taking a look and recommending some games on sale around the various stores available to us gamers. I will pick a couple of obvious choices and the deep dive for some real value. All prices are in Euro unless otherwise stated. This time i'm also including a worth a buy score on how good a deal this game is at the price. I want to make this as informative as possible to the consumer looking to pick up a game this weekend. I'm also going to focus the list a little more to my top highlights and deep buys, constantly looking to refine the formula!

Frost Punk - 14.99 - 50% off
This is an incredibly unique game where you assist a bunch of survivors against a devastating ice age. The game is set in its own steam punk style world and requires the player to build a colony around a furnace that must be powered and upgraded with resources collected from the map. I have played about 2 hours of this so far and it really is a difficult game with many challenges thrown at the player. You can enact controversial polices like initiating child labour (they get sick and die easy) to try and work for the greater good of the community. Truly a unique game and id recommend it at this price.

Silent Hunter V: Battle of the Atlantic - 3.39 - 66% off
OK look this game has quite a few problems and even more bugs. But at this price there is some serious simulated fun to be had taking out allied shipping around Europe. The submarine genre has been a little light of late so this is a welcome flashback to another era (I wont ever forget playing Silent Hunter II back in the day) The graphics are actually still very good today and hours can be lost planning and carrying out your missions. Apart from that this isa bug filled mess so this recommendation comes with a note of caution.

Hearts of Iron IV: Cadet Edition - 15.99 - 60% off
A very deep and complex game that will frustrate a few. You really need a decent background and interest in history to give this game a go. But if you do it is very addictive and an extremely fun and immersive title that lets you take the role of a country fighting in World War II. The game has a massive scope and should be praised for how it represents world events on a global scale. The music is also excellent and the game can be extremely challenging. It is one of those games where you drift off into your own world and create your owns scenarios in your mind. Highly recommended if you have an interest in this time period and the World at War.

Prison Architect - 5.50 - 78% off
A very quirky and interesting title which I played for about 12 hours. It is something id like to revisit and try again as it really is a unique concept and a lot of fun once you get going. At this price it is also amazing value and easily a weekends worth of entertainment. Build a prison and mange your prisoners!

Mad Max - 4.25 - 79% off
An open world game based in the Mad Max universe? Yes please! An excellent open world title that I would like to go back and visit soon. My rig should help it play a lot better and this will help with the experience. The game is heavily discounted these days but this still represents great value for money with a game that has plenty of stuff to keep you entertained.

Strange Brigade - 11.25 - 77% off
I have never played this game but from what I have heard I am very tempted at this price.

Another game I am yet to play but with Vikings and Anglo Saxons available I am sure excited to play it in the future!

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 Gold - 5.40 - 85% off
This is a really great strategy game based in World War 2 and has a massive range of units to play as. Very interesting and fun combat dynamics make this game a steal at the price. Some of the scenarios repeat themselves as you play each nation but overall its a fun and engaging experience.

Civilization VI - 17.99 - 70% off
An epic game which spawns the ages, with a colourful style and some great gameplay that will give you that feeling of just one more turn! This is a must by and a future review candidate. The late game can drag and the AI is a little suspect in places but well worth it at this price. I would also seriously consider the expansion packs for this game as they really do improve and refine the experience. So much enjoyment to be had here

Age of Wonders III: Deluxe Edition - 9.72 (U.S Dollars as I couldn't get the EU client to connect) - 75% off
This game is a great turn based strategy game with excellent graphics and a soaring soundtrack. I have this downloaded and ready to play again with a full review to feature. So at this price for the Deluxe edition there is so much content to enjoy that it is an obvious buy.

So there we go, lots on sale this weekend and plenty of choice for the consumer with some real value to be had out there. I may even pick up a couple of games myself.
