Diablo 3, Season of Grandeur starts now!

Diablo 3 had been around for a while, with several expansions and updates tacked on to it, Blizzard feels that it is time that Season 16, the Season of Grandeur hits the stage with some new cosmetics, challenges and balance changes to refresh and entice players to up their game for a rewarding end.

First up, cosmetics and gear for more customisations to your character. Whether you want to get stronger, look good and kick some ass while doing it. Some cosmetics includes the helm and shoulder pieces of the Conqueror Set as well as some neat Wings of Lempo to show off to other players.

Not here to look pretty? Haedrig's Gift is available to players when they complete certain chapters in the Season Journey. Here's the thing, each class has their own set that will be released as listed below, remember you'll need to open 3 chests for those goodies;

  • Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call
  • Crusader – Seeker of the Light
  • Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance
  • Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem
  • Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar
  • Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr
  • Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana

Along with all the new goodies, there are, of course, balance changes which are aimed to make the game more fun, fair and not so lopsided. While Diablo 3 is a PVE-centric game, it doesn't change the fact that a good balance can determine a good gaming environment for players to enjoy their classes.

The balance patch and quality of life changes include but not limited to, removing legendary potions from inventories so that clutter is eased off a little, some significant changes to Primal Legendaries, several increases to set bonuses for each class and more. If you want a more detailed list of the numbers, take a look at the patch notes, here.

Finally, we have the challenges, all for players to grab a chance at reaching the top through various modes that require to bring out the A-game of each player. The seasonal challenge rotations include; Speed Demon/Need for Speed, On a Good Day/I Can't Stop, Boss Mode/World's Apart, Curses!/Stars Align and Years of War/Dynast. Each of those challenges will put you to the limits and make you consider your build carefully. Be sure to check out the blog for the ruleset.

Are you excited for Season 16? With new stuff coming into Diablo 3, fresh content and new changes are simply just some of the small things coming in 2019, so expect some more exciting things from Blizzard later down the year.
