After some backtracking and walking in circles the party made it to the top of the Cyclone. The Emperor was waiting and he threw his Royal Guard in front of their path. He commented on the Wyverns’ return before the final confrontation. He was a push over. I didn’t even build up Maria’s Ultima. After all he put the world through I would have thought he was going to be unstoppable. He had henchmen with him and still the party was in no danger of losing. It wasn’t even the longest battle but I’m happy with a quick victory. The celebration in Fynn was cut short when word arrived that Maria’s brother Leon the Dark Knight has taken control of the Empire and will continue the war.
