I would like to share with you my experience with you regarding the usages of different type of BBS.
There are many type of BBS and they all differ by weight,material and surface
Weight
1. 0.2 grams and 0.25 grams are the most used for AEG guns - these guns are mostly used for shorter range - up to 50 m and this type of bbs are cheaper than the heavier ones
2. 0.36 grams 0.40 grams are mostly used for DMR or snipers - this type of guns are used for longer range around 70-100 m and this type of bbs are more expensive
Surface
The smoother the surface the higher the quality and there for more expensive
Material
There are ordinary plastic,bio degradable and tracer
Plastic BBS are more commonly used, because they are the cheapest
Bio degradable bbs are made of soft plastic, which upon impact shatters and inside each BB there is a grass seed. And the plastic degrades in the soil. These BBs are made with consideration to the nature. They are more expensive but lately more Nature conscious people are starting to use them.
Tracer BBS light up in the dark. They are most useful to be used in dark closed spaces, like basement terrains. You can easily see where your BB is flying off to. They are also more costly than the ordinary plastic ones.
