Remember the time when you had to go up to the TV if you needed to change channels? The good old days!
I decided, that since today's the world TV day, it would be fun if we educated ourselves on what I'd like to call a saving grace to billions of people around the world, including you!

Early televisions started appearing in the early 1800s and we're mechanically operated .

The first electronic TV was invented in 1927.

Do you know the fun things involving the television?

The inventor of the television would not let his own children watch TV. He once said to his son “There’s nothing on it worthwhile, and we’re not going to watch it in this household, and I don’t want it in your intellectual diet.”
Ain't that crazy??

Did you know, that most people dream in color, but those that grew up watching black and white television often dream in black and white.

This one really got to me!!
The first couple shown in bed together on prime time US TV were Fred and Wilma Flintstone

It has been calculated that the average American child sees about 13,000 deaths on television between the ages of five and 14.

This last one's for the Top Gear lovers.
British show Top Gear is the most watched television show in the world, with an estimated 350 million weekly viewers in 170 countries.

Well, that's it.
Feel free to add yours to the list.

Lastly, feel free to walk up to that TV set of yours and thank it for being a good companion to you
