So I'm a cable technician that has pretty thick hair and likes to keep it from getting bushy. My hair trimmer has that 1/4 inch spacer... and yeah it fell off at the best possible moment. Moral of the story? Use electrical tape to hold the spacer in place because after 10 years I'm still too cheap to replace it.
