We are finally up and going over at @takeitto2!
It's taken us a little while to get use to the Steemit community here on our own pages, but @agbaba and I have finally made the big jump and started a page just for our podcast take it to 2. We've both written a few articles in the past about take it to 2, so if you've been following us (THANK YOU!) you may already be aware of what take it to 2 is all about. But for those of you that are just joining us on this adventure (THANK YOU!) let me tell you a little bit about us...
We started take it to 2 four years ago recording from our sets on different commercials. @agbaba and I had been told repeatedly from our various crews and clients that they enjoyed listening to our banter and hearing our sometimes (most of the time) outrageous takes on random topics. Neither one of us are very good at taking compliments so our first thought was that the crews, who we pay!, were just blowing smoke up are butts and encouraging us to banter with each other so we didn't bother them... Silly crews... our attention is not so easily diverted! But we did really enjoy the idea of starting our own podcast so that we were able to tap into our creative sides that were often put on the back burner.
The term take it to 2 comes from walkie talkie chatter, meaning switch to channel 2 so we can discuss privately. What's interesting about that is that when you hear a crew member say "take it to 2", almost immediately the entire crew switches to hear the private conversation. Our idea was that our show would be reminiscent of private conversations that the listening audience could tune in to.
We hope that you will all join us over @takeitto2 and see what we are working on. On our launch day, we posted introductory posts about both of us, @ekpickle (or Double D on the show) and @agbaba (Big G on the show) and we are currently working on a more in depth post about the show in general.
