"Boh Siri" - Another wild cherry, edible and healthy

The more days, the more our knowledge of nature becomes, if we study it, then we will get a lot of information.

"Boh siri", small fruits, just the size of a marble, is one of the wild fruits which birds often eat. If we want to see it closer, we will find many advantages of this wild fruit, because in addition to bird food, this fruit also has health benefits.

I've written an article about this fruit in my previous post, you can read it here.

I found many new references from internet search. That this plant has been cultivated for the purposes of making syrup. Like the picture you see on the side (source)

This syrup is sold at Rp47,000 or equivalent to US $ 4.00, One of the syrups with the efficacy extracted from the extract boh siri, namely from the fruit and leaves. Latin name of this plant is Muntingia Calabura L.

If I look at my place, the effort to find the potential of this fruit is still very rare. This is because not much socialization about the importance of the efficacy of this fruit. Whether it's from the government or private parties.

I consider it important, because Aceh is a place with a tropical climate, has a diversity of flora and fauna that needs to be studied, in terms of benefits and according to the needs of the medical world (health).

You must ask if this fruit can only be used as a syrup? Of course not. This muntingia fruit has properties for cancer. In accordance with the statistics I obtained, Indonesia is generally ranked seventh in the category of deaths caused by cancer, ie colorectal cancer.

So, if there are fruits that have a cheap price, for what is looking expensive? Right? Then, Boh siri (Muntingia Calabura L.) is the solution, for health.
