The counter top held the bags of groceries I had left. My best judgement called for getting out the bigger jugs of water from the truck. I could have made it all in one trip, at least, when I was younger. ‘Cant believe I’m almost the same age as when my mother had me.’ The two handles made for good use bringing in the water. Setting them on the floor near the fridge I went over to the island and laid out my pockets contents. Funny, don’t remember having any gum recently. I almost started back over to the bags to put the food away until a ‘bzz bzz’ caught my attention. ‘Mmm, quick look.’ I thought, bad habit that was, giving first attention to a phone and not the nutrients—
