Hydrofoil surfboard.

Strong and ultralight materials based on carbon have already firmly taken high positions in the design of modern Hi-Tec structures. Due to this direction in recent years, hydrofoil surfing is rapidly gaining popularity. Such boards are called folibords.

It's hard to learn keep the balance on such board and more difficult and more traumatic than on ordinary surfboard.

Japanese surfer Yu Tonbi Sumitomobo (second from left on the photo below) and rest of the guys recently found out the painful way exactly how much damage a hydrofoil board can do.

But these guys after the injuries are not even thinking of giving up their favorite sport, because drive and entertainment are worth it!

The most important rule, in the event of a loss of balance, is not to jump ahead of the board, nor to get in the way of the surfer who caught the wave.

Here Kai Lenny shows aerobatics by Moby's accompaniment.

Did you notice the surfing distance running by the hydrofoil board in one set? Yes, it can run more and more while surfer on an ordinary table already fell into the water.

By the wings, the situation is radically changing to the better. Now the rider can use the legs to swing the board and thereby give an additional impulse to the wings that have a special hydrodynamic shape (similar to the aerodynamic air wing) and thus rocking to hold out until the next wave!! Underwater, it looks like a bird waving its wings.

I think it will be water sport of the future.
