In this post, I want to share a photographic photo of a mosque in our residential area. A few days ago, on a sunny afternoon, I was going into town to do some shopping. I passed a street near the mosque. The clear weather made the mosque more visible, so I stopped for a moment to photograph the mosque from the outside. In this photo, I only captured the exterior of the mosque. The sun was in the middle of the sky. Since it was midday, the bright sunlight provided good quality light for capturing the entire mosque. This mosque, called the Quba Mosque, is located in the middle of a residential area in Bebesen Village, Bebesen District, Central Aceh, not far from the center of Takengon. This mosque is one of the largest mosques in the Bebesen District and has now become a center of worship and Islamic learning. According to local residents, this mosque has a long history, having been built in 1700 AD. It differs from the current model. Originally constructed of wood, it has now been renovated to a more modern style. The mosque boasts several public facilities, such as restrooms, ablution facilities, a study area, a prayer room, and a spacious parking lot. It features two main white domes and three accompanying white domes at each corner. The mosque is rectangular in shape and spacious, accommodating up to hundreds of worshippers. A minaret is also located at one corner of the mosque, which serves as a place for installing loudspeakers. This mosque plays a significant role in the development of Islamic teachings in the Gayo Islands. It was reportedly built by a traveler from Mecca. Beberapa hari yang lalu, ketika siang yang masih cerah saya pergi ke kota untuk berbelanja, saya melewati jalan yang dekat dengan mesjid, karena cuaca yang cerah mesjid tampak lebih jelas, jadi saya berhenti sejenak untuk memotret mesjid ini dari luar. Pada poto ini saya hanya memotret mesjid dari sisi bagian luar saja, posisi matahari sedang berada di bagian tengah atas, karena sudah siang, jadi matahari yang cerah memberikan kualitas cahaya yang bagus untuk memotret mesjid ini secara keseluruhan. Mesjid ini bernama mesjid Quba, terletak ditengah pemukiman warga yang berada di kampung Bebesen, Kecamatan Bebesen, Aceh Tengah, posisinya tidak jauh dari pusat kota Takengon. Mesjid ini termasuk salah satu mesjid besar di wilayah kecamatan Bebesen yang kini telah menjadi pusat beribadah dan kajian ilmu pengetahuan umat islam. Menurut tutur warga setempat, mesjid ini memiliki sejarah panjang, telah dibangun sejak tahun 1700 masehi, dengan model yang berbeda dari sekarang, dulu hanya terbuat dari kayu, kini telah direnovasi menjadi lebih modern. Mesjid ini memiliki sejumlah fasilitas publik, seperti toilet, tempat wudhu, tempat kajian ilmu pengetahuan, tempat ibadah dan halaman parkir yang luas. Mesjid ini memiliki dua kubah utama yang berwarna putih dan tiga kubah pendamping yang berwarna putih yang berada di setiap sudut bangunan. Bangunan mesjid tampak berbentuk persegi panjang dengan ukuran dan lebar yang luas, dapat menampung hingga ratusan jamaah. Terdapat juga sebuah menara yang berada disudut mesjid, berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk memasang pengeras suara. Mesjid ini memiliki sejarah penting dalam perkembangan ajaran islam di Tanah Gayo, yang kabarnya mesjid ini dibangun langsung oleh seorang musafir dari Mekkah.
