SELF INTRODUCTION OF DR. LINUS AKEPE

Dr. Linus Akepe Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) of Copperstone University is also Africa Continental Director of the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals (IICFIP). He Chairs the IICFIP Global Media Awards Committee and frequents various universities as visiting lecturer (Adjunct Professor). On September 03, 2018 he was appointed Senator of the Royal Scientific Senate (RSS).

As DVC, Dr. Akepe is centrally in charge of the strategic leadership on academics, research and consultancy. The promotion and mobilization of resources through business contacts, the enhancement of skills and competences to cater for excellence in all the schools of the university, the direct supervision of the growth of Copperstone International Forensic and Strategic Institute, coordinate national and international cooperation, leadership of the writing and publishing projects of the staff, faculty and students, and maintain the positive image and International standing of Copperstone University. These activities include the supervision of a workforce of over 60 staff.

Dr. Akepe is cofounder of IICFIP and supporting in Africa to ensure that each country builds a network of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals (IICFIP). This has been effectively done in Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Nigeria, and Zambia. Organize annual global training conferences with that of 2018 slated for September 25-27 in Livingstone, Zambia, develop training programs for partner universities, supervise national trainers and report on the fraud and corruption index in Africa to the IICFIP.

As a highly experienced International Anti-fraud/Anti-Corruption Speaker Dr. Akepe has presented at several high profile workshops/seminars and International Forensic Conferences in Kenya, USA, Switzerland, Tanzania, Nigeria, Zambia and Cameroon.

As a lecturer Dr. Akepe lectures on Forensic Investigation, International Financial Reporting, Forensic Psychology, Money Laundering, Internal Audits and Control etc. at universities across Africa and is currently supervising 17 Masters and 11 Doctorate students from South Africa, Malawi, Cameroon, Nigeria, Swaziland, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Lesotho, Uganda and Liberia.
